Lovely place, right on the beach, we had the octopus tacos and the haddock club sandwich, both were great, really good tasting and quite inventive, exciting flavours. Arrived at 12 and were seated immediately, recommend getting there early

We had a bad experience in this bar. It is located in a nice place, really beautiful beach. We went in for a drink, the waitress (who was very nice) said that we could have a drink but needed to order some food, said just take some fries. We agreed to do so, but a few minutes later the manager or owner came around to tell us that we had to order dinner or leave. We decided to leave as the place had about 10 empty tables, I think only one other table was taken. There was no need to push people like this. Not going back unfortunately.

Kalypso is literally a breath of fresh air! Presiding over a lovely cove, it offers outdoor and quasi-outdoor seating on antiqued metal chairs and tables. The locally sourced food focuses on raw, steamed, and grilled fish and seafood. All simply prepared and seasoned, without the heavy creaminess that’s often a mark of Breton cuisine. Excellent oysters and langoustines! But avoid the vegetable course, the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.

Small beach shack with a beautiful view on the Lancieux bay serving fresh produces from the sea and from the terroir, original recipes, good service and chill/summer holiday vibes. A tiny bit pricier than regular beach shacks you find in Bretagne but it’s worth it. Only tried for lunch but they’re also open for breakfast, lunch, apéro and dinner all summer. Do call ahead to check if they can accommodate because the space is tiny.
