Kam Thai

This is an incredible local gem that was only a short walk from our hotel. It was so delicious the first night that we came back our second night. The owner is a lovely lady from Thailand who has been in Egypt for 17 years making incredible food at good value. You are tucked away in a hole in the wall off a quiet street, which was the perfect way for us to relax after the hustle of Egyptian culture. If you are in Luxor, this is a must stop.

This place is an absolute gem! The service is incredible—friendly with a great sense of humor. The food is fantastic. The space is cozy yet welcoming, and they even offered to turn on the AC to ensure our comfort. Despite arriving close to their closing time, they were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday from 3 PM to 9 PM, but you can also enjoy their food on Sundays at the Gezirah Garden Hotel on the West Bank, where they serve at a fully licensed open-air restaurant. I highly recommend Kam Thai to anyone seeking incredible hospitality and authentic Thai food in Luxor.

Very delicious tasty food. I really enjoyed my meal. I ordered stir fry chicken and it was flavorful. The owner cooks the food fresh and she’s a nice lady. I will be coming back again.

This is a tiny oasis of delicious Thai food. The food is fresh and full of flavor from the fresh herbs. The place is clean, and the service is fast. The prices are for locals with mains at ~70£E. Oh, and they do delivery too! It's a very relaxing experience after a day of hassle and haggling at the sights around Luxor. The owner has been cooking for four years, and I wish her many more successful years.

We ended up going two days in a row because the food was just that good. The chef, a kind and genuine Thai lady, pours her heart into every dish, and you can taste it in every bite. It’s a small, cozy place where you feel welcome from the moment you step in. We’re so happy we found this little gem and truly wish her all the best. If you’re in Luxor, don’t miss it.

If you come to Luxor and don’t eat here, I’ll find you. This is a MUST. This is some of the best Thai food I have ever had. It was so good we came all the way from the West Bank to eat it again after we had lunch there two days before. I’m not going to tell you what to eat, because it’s the whole menu. Everything is made fresh from scratch, one superwoman in the tiny kitchen, making food like she invited you for family dinner. Call a day ahead for fish cake though, trust.

Great experience! The owner/chef is really friendly and willing to accommodate vegetarians/vegans. The food was delicious and really fresh. Sadly only discovered this place on our last day here but will definitely come back if I find myself in Luxor again!
