We loved staying at this hotel. It's on the water, has views of the bay and the windows open - fresh air! ||||This was our first time staying in Kamakura - we have visited before but never stayed overnight - and whilst there's not a lot of choice in terms of hotel accommodation, we were certainly happy with our decision. ||||We wanted to take time to explore this wonderful town, and ride the Enoden train as much as we could. We also wanted to unwind, and staying at Kamakura Park Hotel gave us plenty of opportunity to do all of these things.||||You have to walk through the back streets to get to the nearest train station, Hase, about 10 minutes away. We really like exploring the back streets of any town or city and staying at this hotel certainly gave us plenty to discover; we took a different route every day.||||And the staff were amazing, especially Haruna Ueki. She certainly made our stay very special. Lucky for us, she has spent time living in our hometown, so she understood us very quickly and was able to give us lots of tips about coffee, eating and what to see.||||One tip though, whilst having a room with a view was certainly wonderful, we couldn't leave our window open all night as the traffic noise was too constant. It's a road that everyone uses to go up and down the coast, so the traffic never stops. However, closing the window certainly blocked out nearly all of the noise.
