The area where the beach is located is quite popular among tourists - tourist operators work intensively with this place, accommodating vacationers from all over the world. But, it is believed that it is more popular with Europeans of “revered” age, as the hotels here are located near the sea and everything you need is within walking distance. The beach stretches from north to south, its length is 2 km. It is famous for its beautiful nature and spaciousness. There are many attributes for active recreation. The flora consists of trees of mixed species, - the air here is healthy, pleasant! The water in the sea is greenish in color. Here are medium, in strength, waves. The depth of the entrance to the sea is above average. The sand is silty, gray in color. You need to walk far enough from the shore to get to the clear water. The beach is subject to low tides - follow the tides in the appendix. Full information with video and easy navigation - in the app 👉 PHUKETON

Peaceful, breezy, and perfect for a chill day! Kamala Beach quickly became one of my favorites in Phuket. The waves here are noticeably stronger than at Kata Beach—so you’ll see a lot of surfing lesson signs along the shore. Great spot for beginners wanting to ride their first wave! 🏄‍♀🌊 Unlike some other beaches, Kamala offers shaded spots and sitting areas, which was such a relief in the midday heat. I brought a picnic mat and just relaxed under a palm tree with the sound of the ocean—pure bliss. There are also plenty of mini beach bars if you’re craving a coconut shake, a beer, or a quick snack. Not too crowded, not too loud—just the right mix of laid-back and lively. Highly recommend for a beach day that’s relaxing and surf-friendly!

Beautiful beach, but far from clear or any shade of blue water. It's a long beach so there's plenty of room. Small businesses such as massage parlors right on the beach. There is a place to rent chairs. Plenty of restaurants there as well. While it's not the clearest water, it's swimmable and there is a great view.

Stopped while passing through, easy parking, not many people. It's a cozy, quiet beach, great for relaxing. The sand tends towards yellow

Kamala Beach in Phuket is a true paradise for those who love peace and nature! The beach is beautiful, with fine sand and clear, turquoise water. What I particularly appreciate is the relaxed atmosphere – compared to other beaches in Phuket, it is much quieter and less crowded here. You can fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery without it feeling too hectic or noisy. Another plus is the sense of security: the beach is well-monitored, and the area is regularly cleaned and maintained, which contributes to a pleasant and worry-free stay. There are also many shady spots under the trees where you can relax. It's perfect for a peaceful day by the sea or a romantic evening at sunset. Definitely a hidden gem for those who want to experience a quieter and safer side of Phuket!

Kamala Beach, right in front of the InterContinental Phuket Resort, is a stunning spot with soft sandy shores and a clean, serene environment. The beach is lined with gorgeous pine and coconut trees, creating a perfect tropical vibe. At the far right end of the beach, you'll find big, beautiful rocks on the shore, adding a touch of natural beauty to the scenery. The crowd here is nice, offering a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere. However, a word of caution: be careful with jet ski rentals. We had an issue when our jet ski flipped, and although the sign stated that insurance was included, we were still asked to cover repair costs. This was unexpected and could have been better managed. Overall, Kamala Beach is a lovely place to relax, stroll, or take in the stunning views—just keep the jet ski rentals in mind.

We are FT Traveling seniors w/o a vehicle seeking sunshine, warm weather, nice beaches, safe and walkable areas. Have an open mind, don’t mind mosquitoes, lack of infrastructure, noisy motor bikes, weed and young travelers everywhere. No TP and crosswalks and brown tap water. We were here a month in December - little too long for me.
