Kamala Beach

Kamala Beach is a beautiful, wide, golden-sand beach — an ideal place for a holiday. Despite the many attractions and numerous venues, the atmosphere here remains exceptionally pleasant and peaceful, regardless of the time of day. The only thing that personally bothered me was the smell of gasoline and exhaust fumes noticeable in the water and on the beach, coming from the motorboats that offer tourists additional activities. Apart from that, this place is truly charming and perfect for relaxing.

Great beach, warm water little to no swell, still always be cautious about dangerous tidesa and rips. But just simply a magic place and worth a visit if staying along the northern side of Patong.

In my opinion, Kamala beach is a better beach than Patong with lesser crowd and more quiet. Beautiful shore with lots of activities options

Really hard to find a bathroom here just FYI. Only one in the beach walkway and you have to pay 10 baht. Beautiful beach though with tons of restaurants and 7-11 close by. Kamala is a nice area, but the beach is by far not the nicest in the island. You can see some cool creatures and shells around though, but it’s also a bit dirty (especially after a tide comes in).

A really nice beach, not too hectic, planty of options for food, just lay back and relax , super nice sunsets, it's a more calm and relaxed area , nice for families and very different than Patong or even Kata

The area is nice for swimming and the water is safe for family, there are some basic services but everything is quite old, if you want some better service you will not find it here

For us the best beach in the area, I'd place it over Karon and Kata. It's a long sandy beach, at our time there the water was clean and nice to swim in. The beach has a line of palm trees so there is natural shade everywhere. It's not overcrowded with sunbeds which is a plus as well. Overall a great peaceful beach to visit.

Nice beach, fairly clean. Great for swimming. Plenty of restaurants, shop or bar options nearby.
