Kamala Resotel

This hotel is worth the price! Room was spacious and clean. Staff was always smiling and welcoming. Breakfast was everyday almost the same they always changed one or two things. Roof swimming pool is the best thing here, the view was just amazing. Hotel is also well located- Kamala beach 3 minute walk distance, 7/11 across the main road, restaurants, beauty salons and everything you need is nearby.

Value for money, if not, worth more than what you paid for!! Situated just 4mins walk to the beach, Kamala Resotel offers hospitality, top notch facilities, and exceptional service!!! The facade is rustic, embellished with greenery which sets it apart from usual neighboring hotels. The room is spacious, well maintained, and complete with amenities. It has a balcony where you can chill or smoke or hang your wet bikinis. The breakfast buffet spread whilst a little bland, offered an ample variety of selection: from sausages, grilled pork (mooping), pineapple fried rice to waffles, cereal, toast and fruits in season. The pool area is terrific. The view is breathtaking and truly relaxing. This resort is one of the best ones i’ve stayed at. Special mention also to the receptionists, they were warm & welcoming!!

Pretty nice place. Things work. WiFi exists but isn’t great - but does work. Breakfast can be a bit samey however for the week I was here it was varied enough. Bacon lovers may find the bacon not up to their standards but that’s only as it’s a difficult thing to provide locally. Would stay again - especially if sister pays (again)

Decent spot to stay in Kamala. Lobby was a bit smelly form humidity. Breakfast was poor but the rest was good and pretty good location for having near the beach and stores

We returned to our hotel of choice last week in Kamala, the Resotel. It is well located, reception staff are good and room 204 was spacious and clean. We however had our worst ever hotel experience with the breakfast coordinator named Kao. She hid food from my wife to keep for herself instead of guests. We voiced our displeasure and she said "i don't care" and said we could complain to management "who would do nothing". We spoke to reception about our treatment and rudeness and they were not surprised. Somehow the hotel appears unable or unwilling to fix the problem of this terrible behaviour. Upon returning the next day the same staff member put on a terrible face and we didn't bother having breakfast. But we were left with a very bad taste of poor service.

Great hotel, bed was comfortable and comes with well spaced balcony or porch. The place was nicely designed for romantic getaway for couples. The pool jacuzzi on rooftop was nice and atmosphere and view was great and there was a place to take pictures. The breakfast was fantastic with a lot of choices from eggs, protein bacon and sausage, waffles and pancakes and fruit and noodles - one of the best ever. The beach is within 400m walk away and the Smile Bar has a fire show during weekends. The price here was not ripping you off and hospitality was superb. A+++

We had a pleasant stay overall. The location is good, the area is so chill and familiar, only few minutes by walk to the beach (which is really nice) with a lot of restaurants, bares, shops around. Pool on the 5th floor is nice, same as pictures and good ambience. Breakfast is also located on the 5th floor, where the pool area is. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very basic, and some items didn’t seem fresh. The yogurt was not cold and didn’t taste good — it should be kept chilled during breakfast hours. The milk was also left out of the cold. When I asked the staff if it was possible to have fresh (cold) yogurt, the lady simply said no. The room was cozy and clean, however, we didn’t like the bathroom setup — it’s too close to the bed and doesn’t feel private or well-separated from the rest of the room. Also, there was a problem with the electricity during our stay, and no one informed us about what was happening or how long it would take to fix it. A simple update would have made us feel more informed and cared Thank you & enjoy Kalama!!

We had a wonderful stay at Kamala Resotel! The rooms were stunning and had everything we needed. The rooftop pool with mountain views is absolutely to die for. The staff were incredibly kind, especially when my partner was unwell — a special shoutout to Lee at the front desk, who was simply brilliant. Highly recommended!
