This place was our first stop after we landed on the island. We stopped by for lunch and also ordered take out for dinner. We had the veggie appetizer plate, veggie thali and mango lassi. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the ocean views. The staff were friendly. Parking was tricky to find. The free street parking was full and the paid garages were too expensive.

Food here is very good. We had the Palak Paneer, Paneer Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan and Butter Naan. Everything was great. Flavors were on point. Service was quick and the staff was very friendly too. Did we mention that with outdoor seating and facing the ocean, the views were great too. All in all a great experience!

A hidden gem in Big Island. Try it out and you won't regret. The Shrimp Tikka Masala was awesome. We loved it the most among all the other dishes that we ordered. I strongly recommend this place.

Having recently moved to the area from the mainland, you know you're going to be giving up some restaurant variety. Yet we held out hope that we could still get some excellent Indian food. There aren't many Indian restaurants in Kona, but all you need is one good spot! Thank goodness Kamana Kitchen is here to fill that need for visitors and kamaʻāina alike! Not only were the entrees spot on (paneer tikka masala and matar paneer), but the garlic naan and kheer (rice pudding) were among the best we've had anywhere (including two trips to India!) As for the atmosphere.... Hands down the best of any Indian restaurant we've ever been to - it's right at the beach where you can stare at the beautiful water and palm trees as you listen to the waves crash. It's simply stunning! If you're in need of some delicious Indian food and you're in the area, you can't go wrong checking out Kamana.

Good food and friendly service. Enjoy while sitting outside, listening to the, sound of the waves and a very beautiful view of the ocean. If you can, try to avoid parking in the garage as it is pretty expensive compared to the free Street parking you can find nearby.

Food leaves you wanting more! Samosas, Malai kofta curry and naan... I can literally have it everyday here at Kamana's kitchen. Fish curry was okay. Plain rotis, kali dal were good and so was the plain rice. Quick & friendly service, Ambience is filled with breeze and clashing waves.

If Google had the chance to rate this place zero stars, I would. I came to check this place out on Alii drive with a friend a couple weeks ago and forgot to leave a review. We came in and were greeted with mediocre service. Everything went okay until an INDIAN family with a party of around 8 walked in asking to be seated. Me and my friend witnessed everything unfold and overheard their conversation whilst waiting for our food. The restaurant serving INDIAN cuisine, denied INDIAN customers a table within the restaurant itself (tables were set on the lanai/porch). Which ultimately resulted in the family sitting almost outside of the restaurant, between two other shops. Our waiter who had also tended to the family told them that the seats within the restaurant were for “other” people. The restaurant was COMPLETELY EMPTY besides me and my friend taking up one table. There were plenty of available seating and tables COULDV’E been arranged to fit a group of 8. The family was reasonable and tried to understand why they couldn’t sit inside but the waiter kept silent and denied them a table, repeatedly saying that they were for other customers. Luckily, the family stepped up and called the waiter out on his bs, then left. It’s honestly disappointing to see and hear racism happening first hand. This establishment already seemed like it was failing right from the start. It’s sad to see that I can only see this restaurant going only downhill from now on. The ONLY positive thing I will say is that this restaurant has ONE worker with a positive attitude, and it was the bare minimum. He was a young man who brought out our food. The food was okay, and the only reason we stayed was because of the naan bread. This was my first and last time supporting a mediocre restaurant so long as they keep their employees with nasty attitudes. Do better.

Best Indian food in the state. Perfect view of oceanfront. We saw spinner dolphins jumping for more than 20 minutes right off the deck. Lamb vindaloo was perfect and the garlic naan was the best I’ve ever had.
