Kameha Grand (Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia) 5 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There aren’t enough adjectives to describe the sensory feast that is the Kameha Grand – the stunning wing-shaped building by Karl-Heinz Schommer and the cutting-edge interiors by superstar designer Marcel Wanders leave jaws permanently dropped. It’s intended for that most desirable demographic, the hipster business traveler, and as such it’s anything but corporate — thanks to Wanders it feels a bit like a living Dalí painting. On the other hand it’s in many ways just as sober and practical as you’d expect a German hotel to be — with a geothermal power plant in the basement, the Kameha Grand is just about emission-free." - Tablet Hotels

Hotel Grand Kameha in Bonn, Frankfurt: A Review Hotel Grand Kameha in Bonn, Frankfurt is a truly luxurious hotel. It is a very beautiful property with exceptionally friendly staff. This is a wonderful hotel to stay at with family—we visited as a family and had a memorable experience. The entire hotel is spic and span, very well maintained, and the staff is extremely courteous. The rooms are large, well-ventilated, and romantically lit, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The bathrooms are modern, equipped with luxury bathtubs, showers, and high-end fixtures. On a positive note, the hotel’s spa, located on the third floor, was excellent. There are several treadmills, two large sauna rooms with infrared heaters maintaining a temperature around 50 degrees Celsius, a steam room, and well-maintained showers. The sauna, steam room, and showers are kept impeccably clean, making them perfect for relaxing after a long day. There is also a paid spa service, which I believe costs around 50 Euros for half an hour and 100 Euros for a full hour, though I am not exactly sure of the pricing. The hotel also offers a rooftop swimming pool and a couple of lounging areas with reclining chairs where you can sit, lay down, relax, and order food and drinks after exercising, sauna sessions, or a spa massage. The highlight of our stay was the hotel’s restaurant—Ludwig’s Restaurant within the Grand Kameha. It is a large and elegant restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff at Ludwig’s were exceptionally kind and attentive, going above and beyond to accommodate guests. On our first night, we arrived late at around 9:30 PM, starving and tired. We walked into Ludwig’s just as they were preparing to close. One waitress, Venessa Weckmann, noticed us and kindly asked the chef if he could prepare something for us. She returned with the good news that they could offer us a one-course meal. Grateful, we accepted, and she seated us at a cozy corner table. We mentioned that we are strict lacto-vegetarians, and asked for suggestions. After thinking for a moment, she recommended the "Poke Bowl." It was absolutely delicious—one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Thanks to Venessa's kindness and attentiveness, we were able to sleep that night fully satisfied. Thank you, Venessa! We truly appreciated your hospitality. Breakfast at Ludwig’s is another highlight of the hotel experience. It is arguably one of the best breakfasts in the world, offering a huge variety: Greek yogurt with a wide assortment of cut fruits Freshly squeezed orange and apple juices Many varieties of bread, cheeses, and croissants Freshly made-to-order pancakes and waffles Potatoes, various meats, and different types of condiments Fresh raw honey, maple syrup, and more A coffee station where you can make cappuccinos, espressos, or black coffee, and a selection of tea leaves with strainers and hot water. The staff at breakfast were, once again, extremely courteous and attentive. Location: The hotel is located along the banks of the Rhine River. Just walk down the rear stairs to enjoy a stroll along the river. There’s even a boat you can take to explore nearby places. We took a boat ride to Linz, a charming historical village with buildings dating back to the 1300s—it was a delightful and scenic trip. Final Thoughts: I highly recommend Hotel Grand Kameha for both family vacations and romantic getaways. Despite the minor bathroom issues, the overall experience, hospitality, luxurious amenities, and beautiful surroundings make this hotel a wonderful choice.

A room with a terrace only makes sense if you plan to sunbathe — there’s just one lounge chair. Smoking is not allowed, and to enjoy the view, you have to stand at the edge — once you sit, the view disappears. If the view is important to you, it’s better to choose a river-facing room. Just note that on sunny days, the windows get very hot and tend to fog up. During our check-in, the front desk staff seemed quite confused. We were checking in with a dog and had already paid for the full reservation, after which we were told there would be an extra pet fee. They also recommended booking a table at the on-site Asian restaurant, but none of our attempts were successful — the manager always said there were no available tables. It would be great if the reception team had access to the restaurant’s booking system, so they could suggest reservations only when actually available. The windows in our room were noticeably dirty. In the first room, there were stains on the table from a bottle being opened; in the second — a cracked mirror. The shower cabin had visible black mold. We requested cleaning every 2–3 days, but the bed linen was not changed. Bathrobes had torn loops, so the belts couldn’t be threaded properly. Still, none of this spoiled our stay. The breakfast was exceptional: a wide variety — from almond milk to house-cured lightly salted salmon and fresh microgreens. The location is magical: a nearby park with ducks, rabbits, and singing thrushes. It’s a place where you can truly rest your mind and reconnect with nature. The river promenade is lovely, though it can get crowded on weekends. Conclusion: despite a few downsides, both the hotel and the city left us with special memories. We’ll definitely come back.

Great hotel for business travel. The hotel infrastructure is new, clean and efficient with elegant decor. Bar and meeting area are spacious. A variety of dining g venues are offered at the hotel. The spa was lacklustre; way too small for the number of guests lined up to use the saunas and hammam. The hotel is just a little too far to enjoy a walk into Bonn city centre; a vehicle or public transport are required. Bonn itself is a worthwhile visit.

KAMEHA GRAND is a ride away from buissy Towns like Cologne oe Düsseldorf, with their International airports. But it is one of my favorite places to stay arround in this area. Ambiente, Service, Wellness Treatments, the food and location close to the river rhine is it worth to travel and stay longer than one night. Great event location also with several Halls toll up to 1.500 participants

Perfect place to rest! Spa is wonderful, quiet, beautiful Rhein river view and carrot cake and cheese cake are the best in the world. Not too sweet, nice texture and smell. Want to have the carrot cake on my birthday in August 💝👌!!!

By far this is the most racist hotel I've been too. Bought one of the most expensive rooms in the establishment. Upon returning there was a old gentleman in my room. I informed the front desk to also call police. After all this I'm escorted out of the hotel. Being brown doesn't win in this hotel. I was also charged for my other 2 nights. Do yourself a favor go to the Marriot

Best hotel in Bonn. Phenomenal spa with pool overlooking the Rhine. Shahram the best concierge. Always book a superior room or above. Also the most fantastic steak restaurant is a stone’s throw away: Abacco. .
