Overall, my stay at Kameha Grand Zurich was disappointing. I specifically chose to transit in Zurich for one night to enjoy a more relaxing break and try the hotel’s sauna and spa. Unfortunately, the facilities were only open from 3pm to 9pm, which made it almost impossible for transit guests like me to use them. This limited schedule really gave the impression that the hotel does not welcome short-stay or transit travelers.
The bathroom design was also poorly executed — the drainage in the shower was slower than the water flow, leaving the bathroom floor wet after every shower.
As a Titanium Elite member, I also felt the hotel did not value loyalty. There was no upgrade offered, while my friend, a crew member staying on the same night, received one. After the stay, there was no guest survey or follow-up, which shows a lack of attention to loyal guests’ feedback. Another disappointment was the hotel’s restaurant L'UNICO; I had planned to dine there, but was told at check-in that it is closed on Tuesdays.
On the positive side, breakfast was decent with a fair selection, and I appreciated the small welcome gesture in the room, which was a nice touch. However, these details were not enough to offset the overall experience. Stylish in appearance, but with operational and service gaps that made the stay less than satisfying.
