"One of Istria’s quirkiest spots, this hideaway inside a 17th-century town house in the ancient stone town of Bale (itself worth a wander) wears many hats. It functions as a café, bar, restaurant, and event space—it hosts the Last-Minute Open Jazz Festival every August—as well as an inn, complete with three apartments with kitchenettes and Wi-Fi. Book a room and spend the night, or simply head to one of the interior stone terraces and while away an evening over food, drinks, and interesting conversation with fellow guests. Kamene Priče is also a short drive from one of Istria’s most secluded stretches of shoreline, making it the perfect base for exploring the region."
We just stopped in to relax and enjoy a beer. The people working here were friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately we were there during the off-season so there was no live music. But the ambience of the restaurant retained a sort of eclectic positive energy which made it a fantastic place to rest our bones a bit and wet our proverbial whistles.

What a special place!! We were walking through Bale and came across this gem - we couldn't resist sitting down and having a drink because the atmosphere was so special. It's as if every detail has its place here. There's not much intervention in the space, the decoration adapts to the existing space and that gives it a special charm. The music is very soothing and we didn't feel like going home. I definitely recommend visiting this very special place!

We excited to come for dinner at this quite unique and quirky restaurant. It started off well enough and the lady was lovely but. We ordered a speciality dish (octopus stew) and there was nothing for kids at all. We ended up waiting a hour for the food. Apparently the chef was stuck in traffic but someone should have come and apologised for the wait. The octopus was perfectly cooked but over peppered so we ordered a side salad to help mellow it that simply didn't arrive. At the end we didn't get a discount or any kind of goodwill gesture. Really disappointing experience.

Highly recommended! The most beautiful boutique hotel with amazing food, energy and staff. Davor and his lovely family made sure we were well taken care of and offered amazing suggestions on what to do in Istra. The place is full of life, a bonus if you get to hear him singing with a live band!

We had dinner in this place. The lady was soo sweet, atmosphere a 10. Food very good in taste, the portions however seemed kind of big. But, no problem to give a take-away box.

Charming place, with a hidden garden, and warm-hearted staff. We felt very welcomed. Make sure to try their ice cream (with fig jam and olive oil)!

It's an amazingly cute and cozy place in the heart of Bale, which is in itself already a lovely place to be at. The hosts are an incredibly nice family. The rooms are clean, cozy, romantic and neatly intertwined with the entire decor of the house and of the whole village. There's often spontaneous live music but still respectful of the fact that there are guests sleeping there so it's never too much. The staff are super nice, including the two sons who take special care that everything is taken care of all the time. The food is really good, a great beach is around 10-15 minutes. It's kind of magical altogether, couldn't recommend it more.
