Kamiji Kakimoto

Wonderful shop. Came to get some more traditional style paper as a gift for a family member. I am sure they will love what I found. From my perspective it seemed like they have a decent selection of quality paper goods. I could have easily spent a lot more there but I have a quite a few family members to shop for.

They have an amazing selection of japanese traditional paper items, notebooks, post cards, envelopes etc. You cannot leave empty handed.

I had two memorable experiences at Kamiji Kakimoto. This is one of the highest quality paper/washi stores in Japan and I am grateful to have been assisted by one of their incredible staff members who, not only continued to help me even after their shop was officially closed but, also with follow up emails (in perfect English!) with some complex requests of different absorbances of their beautiful shikishi boards and how to order in bulk. I will be encouraging my brush painting students to order from them as they ship internationally. This gorgeous store which has been serving Japan since 1716, gets my highest recommendation!

Beautiful place if you are interested in hand made papers. Small but nice selection of small notebooks, origami paper and other items. Just a great place to appreciate handmade goods.

Very helpful staff to help me make shoji screens

This store has an incredible selection of washi (Japanese handmade paper), cards, stationery and much more! It's a world of Japanese tradition, high quality and the prices are great. Highly recommended!

really cool washi washi shop! you can buy notebooks, sticky notes, origami paper, wrapping paper, and all sorts of other paper products. they make beautiful gifts or for personal use :)
