The 15 Best Hotels in Tokyo to Book Right Now - AFAR

"Tokyo Edition, Toranomon, located in the Kamiyacho business district, is the first Edition hotel in Japan. Designed by Kengo Kuma and Ian Schrager, it features a palm-fringed lobby, minimalist guest rooms with postcard-worthy views of Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Bay, and dining options such as the Blue Room and the Gold Bar." - Keith Flanagan, Adam H. Modern faith and ambition share this skyline. The Tokyo Tower rises nearby like a red prayer of light. Kamiyachō’s air is still, but filled with quiet purpose — where temples meet skyscrapers in a dignified balance. Tourist Tip: Walk to Tokyo Tower in under 10 minutes; Zojo-ji Temple is nearby for peaceful contrast.

Only 1 line at this station, but it’s convenient enough to walk to some of the places.

Passed by during transferring to another subway line and decided to exit. I heard there was cherry blossom with Tokyo tower in the background and decided to pay a visit. I am glad I did. Also it’s kawatsu Sakura in case someone is wondering.

The station has recently expanded and improved wheelchair access as they now have for the first time an elevator that goes to ground level at exit 1 which is also the closest exit to Tokyo Tower. Same exit has much improved toilets. The exit at the opposite end of the platform of the has the existing stairlift. Additionally this exit adjoins a couple of small underground arcades with bars and restaurants popular for local commuters at lunch and after work.

As of November 2023 there are now elevators on the west/south end of both platforms for easier access to Tokyo tower.

I believe the Hibiya line is the only one that goes here. it is not a big station, but you are underground. --------------------------------------------------------------- My son and I got to this station because I went to check out Reiyukai Shakaden Hall, which is a space ship like Temple. it is also a few blocks away from Tokyo Tower as well.

If you're a tourist, don't go to the station during the morning on a weekday. The volume of commuters is incredible. On the weekend, it's virtually empty.
