KAMON HOTEL Namba(カモンホテルなんば)

Located just out side dotonburi in a very quite ally away from the crazy crowds. It's got a cosy vibe with a bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. Rooms are smallish but do the job. Loads to see around all walking distance

The hotel is very well located on a quiet street walking distance from namba and dotonbori and very close to metro station. The hotel has a really nice, young vibe, feeling more like a hostel. A lot of nice attention to style and detail. The room is really pleasant (with origami!) but tiny, no place to put suitcases. Breakfast was nice, Japanese. Good for a one-night stay in Osaka.

The hotel's location is its primary advantage, as it is situated near Dotonbori. However, the hotel itself is located on a narrow alley, and the rooms are somewhat disappointing. Despite this, the hotel does offer a commendable Japanese breakfast. It is important to note that the dryer in the hotel dont work properly despite how long you use, so I suggest to use the coin laundry located a short two-minute walk away in order to save money.

Probably one of the worst hotel I’ve been too! We stayed here for only 3 nights last week and probably only slept 4-5 hours each night. We were a family of four, and booked the quad bunk bed room. We had our luggage transported from our Tokyo hotel to this hotel. The hotel staff misplaced our luggage in another room, which was pretty scary. The room itself was very spacious with a sofa area, however there was no mirror except the washroom. The beds were the worst, the mattress was like a futon only 2-3 inches high and was hard as a rock. Everytime someone moved on the bed, the bed frame made a creaking noise. The washroom was tiny and cramped. The hallways had no lighting, it was cold and felt like I was walking through a warehouse. The dryer was bad, it took us 4 hours just to dry our clothes. The hotel is close to the subway and night life, but it’s also located in a dingy shady area, not suitable for kids. Also, if you are looking to transport your luggage to another hotel, they don’t offer this service. We had to take our luggage to a Yomato location to get it transported ourselves, which was very inconvenient. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Good location in relation to the nightlife etc… but on a sketchy alleyway that is dirty and signage for the property was not well done. Single females should reconsider. We were given a Japanese twin which is much too small, no room for any luggage except maybe a backpack. Room is dingy — not “hip”. Check-in is a FIRM 3pm… we arrived a bit after 2pm and had to wait with our luggage until the very last tick of 3pm. On the way to our room, we see apartments at the same level within 15 feet, with unappealing laundry hanging. Definitely gives motel vibes. Could hear the “neighbors” dogs yapping while in our room. If you’re looking for no frills and want to be close to nightlife, this hotel is fine perhaps for a short stay. But there are other options that are still located well and don’t have these issues, at a minimal amount difference in price.

Reasonable price. But the pillow we got was covered in dark spots, which I think that was a big big turn down.

Fantastic location right at the heart of Osaka’s shopping district. We woke up early for the nearby morning market, went back to the hotel to rest before heading on a shopping spree in the afternoon. There is a public parking nearby for those who rented a car, hotel doesn’t provide parking. Washing machine is available for use, there’s a lift for wheelchair and luggages. Room felt a little small, but it was definitely comfortable and totally clean. Breakfast was not buffet, but the bento was aesthetically pleasing.

Stayed 5 nights and had a pleasant stay. The staff were nice and helpful, especially when we needed help with laundry. The laundry facilities are located on the main level. We did 1 medium load and the washer was fine (30 minute cycle) but the dryer- oh my goodness, that thing took FOREVER. It ended up taking two hours. We stayed in two rooms, both had twin beds and one room was decorated in traditional Japanese style (quite aesthetically pleasing). While both rooms were very clean, they were so small. The bathroom, tiny. The main space, tiny. I don't know what people do if they travel with a large suitcase, because we had a 40L and 55L backpacks and space was extremely tight. Also, compared to other hotels in Japan, Kamon's amenity options aren't as plentiful. The best feature about this hotel is the location. It's centrally located to everything: shopping, the metro, restaurants.
