Kampung Lumbung

Everything is an awesome experience of staying in a traditional Javanese village! The serene ambience, eco concept, and rustic style definitely takes you back to an upgraded version of 80's Java.

Kampung Lumbung Boutique is beautiful with its green gardens and well-kept buildings. The restaurant offers excellent dining, breakfast was limited. We slept in the country house. Basic rooms and the pool at the country house was freezing cold but the view was very nice.

the service is friendly and the furniture is quite antique, there is some equipment such as the shower head that needs to be replaced so that it can function properly for guest comfort and this is very annoying. also the mattress is uncomfortable and makes it itchy, the sheets and blankets are a bit dull, there is no provision of drinking water in the room and you have to ask for it first, it's creepy and spooky so it can be heard next door to a mother's room calming a small child crying in the middle of the night.

We found this hotel through our guide book as it is not on booking.com but only on Traveloka. An incredible surprise. |Very nice simple but elegant rooms. An enormous domain full of plants and very green although it is in the middle of the city. Two pools and a lots of different types of rooms and cottages to choose from and yet very peaceful and quiet as it is a very well kept secret. A real eco-lodge, it is perfect for nature lovers. The breakfast (both sweet and salty version) is also excellent and hot and cold water as well as tea and coffee are available around the clock. And finally the staff are all very nice and keen to help. Just remember to bring a sleeping mask as the curtains are rather thin and possibly earplugs if you are not used to the mosques.||The food was so good.... And at such a low price. Top notch quality, as good as the Melati in Malang with a great service and a beautiful setting/decoration and yet for such a low price. Be careful though to enquire several hours in advance if the restaurant is open or can open as they might be closed when there are few guests at the hotel.|There are some vegetarian options, not many but the staff will probably be able to arrange more options if forewarned.|Terima kasih, itu lezat !!

Spend two nights here and it definitely wasn't enough to enjoy all the beauty presented by this hotel. I absolutely love their landscape. We took a walk around its area after enjoying nice breakfast. It was one of the more serene and calming experience to me. The chirping birds even accompanied our walk. In short, if you wanna spend some times with your loved ones or even alone at a peaceful setting, this one is highly recommended.

Friendly staff, nice surrounding. Good if you need no comfort at all: open houses and hotel rooms cause a lot of noise, animals around your bed and light in your room or cabin. There is no airco or mosquito net. Shower in the cabins looks really nice but at knee height it makes no sense at all. Breakfast choice is limited and only starts at 7:30 which is way too late. Limited restaurant. Staff speaks limited English

A comfortable hotel with a natural atmosphere that can make us escape for a moment from fatigue. Located in a strategic location, close to Jawa Timur Park 3, the center for souvenirs and restaurants, and the hotel’s location is before entering the city of Batu. The location is not directly on the main road, but through a small alley before heading to the hotel. Suitable for those of you who want to vacation with family, and want to take a good rest for a moment from all the noise of the city. There are superior, deluxe room types and cottages that are surrounded by beautiful and comfortable natural views. The hotel is also equipped with a good restaurant, perfect for selfies or take a picture with friends or family. Breakfast is standard, the menus are not too much. There are toilet amenities in the room, but room slippers are not available. Toilet is clean. Mineral water is available in the room, and can be refilled. There is a fridge in the deluxe room type and above. The view at night is also very beautiful seen from this hotel, especially the view of Malang City. TV is available in the room, but with limited channels. The drawback of this hotel is that there is no Air Conditioning in the room, so it feels quite hot during the day, especially during the summer. But still cold at night, because of the cold air from outside that enters the room. Wifi is also not smooth. Overall, I give 3 stars for this hotel.

We just spent 8 nights at Kampung Lumbung and it was wonderful! The staff are really amazing and dedicated to ensuring guests have the best possible experience.||The food is just delicious and very varied. Breakfast is an authentic Javanese experience and we always go for the traditional Indonesian food, though an American/continental breakfast is also available.||||The rooms are spotless and comfortable with marvellous views. We always stay in the hotel rooms on the 1st floor for the view of Mount Semeru and the tropical gardens. Batu city is close by and easily accessible by taxi/Grabcar. Batos shopping centre has a great supermarket and other shops and is only 10 minutes away by car. Malang city is only 20 minutes by car and offers lots of shopping/restaurant options. This was our 7th time staying at Kampung Lumbung and it has become our home away from home. Bambang and Yani always try to make sure we have a wonderful stay, as do all the staff. We will be back in 2023!
