I had a wonderful experience at this resort. The breakfast was wonderful, the rooms were clean, but the big difference was the staff. Five star staff. Feny always had such a wonderful smile at breakfast and would bring us coffee and clear the plates. But more importantly was the human connection! Such a sweet person. Indah in the spa did great body work on us since we were training martial arts all day. Very pleasant as well! As we checked out we dealt with Kiki and once again the resort staff proved itself. Quick and efficient checkout and helped us to store our luggage.

Kampung Sumber Alam Resort offers a traditional Sundanese village atmosphere, with bungalows built over ponds, mountain views, and natural hot spring water right in the room. It’s located in Cipanas, close to downtown Garut.||Facilities are quite complete: hot spring pools, a restaurant, spa, playground, and family areas. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it great for a relaxing getaway or healing retreat.||On the downside, some rooms look a bit worn, Wi-Fi can be slow, and not all room types have air conditioning. Overall, it’s a comfortable, cool, and nature-inspired resort with a price that matches the experience.

The bungalow room impresses with a beautiful mountain view and a spacious balcony overlooking a serene pond, perfectly immersing guests in a tranquil natural ambience. The highlight is the natural hot spring tub, offering a truly relaxing experience. However, the considerable walking distance from the lobby and occasional noise from the nearby village can detract from the peace. Additionally, the room’s cleanliness falls short, and the lack of power plugs limits convenience. The public pools, while inviting, tend to be crowded with children and outside guests, which may affect those seeking a quieter retreat.

The bungalows are not clean and need to improve the quality of beds and sheets. The views are magnificent, especially in the morning or after the rain. Breakfast varieties are ok, not many but enough. The hospitality from the restaurant crew is good, they're really helpful.

Profile photos are mostly edited and commented far from being neutral. It's true, the camping is beneficiary from the wonderful environment, but it's really damaging the place. Rooms very dirty and inaccurate with the reservation description! Shower water are drained with shampoo and chemicals materials to the lack directly!! People was swimming in the pool with their public clothes, water becoming disgustingly dirty 🤮 No minimum security measures at pool boards, I full down and had serious accidents, could be, even, mortal due to installations defeciencies. Balcony in the bungalow with wonderful views, but no sites to sit down, neither chairs, nor even a matras... Conclusion : primitive, bad managed and environmentally abusive!!

Kampung Sumber Alam Garut is a perfect escape! The villa with a private pool and hot spring access was amazing. Peaceful vibes, lush surroundings, delicious breakfast, and great public pools make it a complete retreat. Definitely worth revisiting!
