Kan You Cake

The pastry chef at Kan You Cake is highly skilled. The cakes and fruit tarts suit my taste very well — they are delicate in texture without being greasy, and leave you wanting another bite after finishing. The cream used in the cakes is distinctive, allowing each cake to present its own unique flavor. Overall, the texture is very refined and smooth.☺️ Sorry for the photo — I only remembered to take it after the first bite. I really couldn’t resist 😅

absolutely love coming here for a sweet treat. cakes and other desserts are amazing - everything is delicious made with high quality ingredients and doesn’t contain much sugar so you can actually taste components of each dessert. it shows that they put a lot of effort into making everything fresh and with good ingredients, each dessert tastes delicious and it always brings me so much joy to come here. prices are actually pretty good for the quality you pay - i find it really affordable for the quality you get. also their cannele are to die for(never saw them this well done in any other shops) perfectly crunchy outside and chewy inside. roll cakes are extremely light and delicious. tarts are super crunchy with delicate and balanced filling! best confectionery in calgary 🤍

Best roll cake in Calgary! Their cake texture was so soft and buttery. The cream was light and not too sweet. Chestnut flavor was nice. Their roll cakes were better than many cake stores I visited. So I couldn’t help ordering another cake—Lychee cheesecake which was rare. With fancy appearance, and good taste also!!! But my first choice is still the roll cake🤪

The roll cakes are well balanced, not too sweet and very soft chiffon. The freeze dried chocolate ice cream is addicting. The ambiance is cute and the service is good. Would also love to try cake from this place.

I was looking up bakeries in Calgary that had mont blanc chestnut cakes and found this place via a Google search. I was able to make an online order for pick up 3 days in advance. I'm glad I ordered in advance because when I arrived at 2PM on a Tuesday, some items were sold out. I ordered the assorted roll cake box and chest tarts. Everything was really good and not too sweet as expected from an Asian bakery. My favorite roll cake was surprisingly the chocolate, it was the perfect amount of richness and sweetness. Highly recommend their roll cakes and would come back.

Delicious cakes! I liked their cakes they are not too sweet, and the fluffy texture. Very pleasant to eat. I’d like to see more tables for people to dine in rather than come and go rushing for take out orders.

Came here specifically for the tiramasu. At first, the presentation is interesting as the tiramasu came in it's own glass jar. Then I noticed that the price for the matcha variant is also the highest priced piece of pastry. While one can always use a good spare jar at home, am certain that I am paying for the jar as well. Asked if the jar (cleaned) can be returned for a discount off the next purchase, the staff just laughed and shook her head. So beware that when you buy a tiramasu, you've also bought a jar. As for the taste, you'll get dry crunchy "biscuit" with a mouthful of cream. Hardly a hint of coffee or cocoa. You are paying for a gimmicky tiramasu and a glass jar each time you buy their tiramasu.

O.M.G. their roll cakes are 💯 THE best I’ve had! Rich yet light + fluffy + super flavourful + oh so fresh! It’s like my mama whipped that cream up a moment ago just for me! I bought the assorted box on special and I got to pick the flavours I want! My favourites were the strawberry and mango. Oh and those caneles are to die for - crispy caramelized crust and buttery chewy centre😍! Service was excellent too!
