Google
had a pleasant late lunch here. the sweet fries are a highlight, but the fried cauliflower can be skipped (too much honey in our opinion). the terrace is lovely for a sunny summer day

An incredible place to hang out, have a cup of coffee, work, or chill at night! I came at 12.30pm, and experienced lots of sunlight at this hugely spacious cafe. Most of the work seats were taken, but I could still grab a seat at a coffee table for work. The vegetarian brunch menu was great - I had the protein bowl and it was delicious, well-plated, and generously nutritious. It's something I can see myself eating again and again. Staff was polite and courteous. Highly recommended!

I was expecting a better menu, there are no so many options. It is a healthy and vegetarian menu. What we ordered was tasty. The restaurant was empty at lunchtime on a Saturday. It is not an expensive place.

Good atmosphere, good food and not crowded (something to be considered!). Nice place to have lunch in.

The staff didn’t mention the kitchen was closed even though the website mentioned otherwise and it was very confusing and an uncomfortable atmosphere. Our drinks came 20 minutes after we ordered there even though it was not very crowded and the staff was very rude. Also the drinks were watered down a lot!! :(( sadly a no for me.

a bit slow service and it was a little cold but food and ambience was great!

The staff was really rude and we could not get any food even though it said that the snacks could be ordered „all day“ -3hrs before the club closed it was not possible. We then ordered 2 aperols which were 80% ice and costet us 22€- never again!

We went here for brunch and both ordered the protein bowl. After receiving our food we were both a bit confused where the tempeh was. After asking they said they ran out of it. I would have appreciated that info after ordering or at least when receiving my food. They offered to take it off the bill which was a great solution for us. So props for at least afterwards taking care of this situation. The menu is all vegetarian which I loved and the space is really open and has a great vibe. They also have a nice terrace in the back for summer. The service was quick but when we went there it was also very empty.

Yelp
It's a bit pricey, but I very much enjoy the open space and decor here, the beautiful bar, floor with the tram tracks still in place and the palatial seating. They are a higher-end place than the surrounding area, but that means I can usually get a table or seat here at the bar. I often went here as a tourist or business traveler when I visited Amsterdam, especially on days when everything else was too crowded. I also loved going during the day to work. A little champagne late in the afternoon made it even nicer!

Yelp
The Kanarie Club is adorable and should be at the top of your list if you are looking for a fun night with fantastic food in Amsterdam. The conference I was attending rented out half of the restaurant for a dinner. The other half appeared to be food stalls where you could order a variety of things. From the moment I walked in, I knew it would be a good night. The restaurant has several games including ping pong and a ball pit upstairs (however not filled while we were there). Since we were at an event, my experience may be a bit different. Different stations were set up and throughout the night, waiters and waitresses walked around serving us a variety of foods. Just to name a few, I tried, chicken on a stick with peanut sauce, hummus and pita bread, duck spring roll, Mexican rice bowl, and more. Everything was delicious and I was stuffed. There was even an adorable cat roaming around. Such a fun night and I highly recommend visiting if you are in the Amsterdam area.

Yelp
Good stuff, but really on the expensive side. Although, when you tire of eating all the selections in Foodhallen, this one is a nice respite. Good, fresh oysters and sashimi, the pork belly was done well, crispy skin, soft and moist fat/meat. decent wine selection - good for just relaxing after a long day of touring

Yelp
Located in a larger part of Foodhallen, Kanarie Club was very open, bright and welcoming. Staff were very friendly and attentive. So attentive that our server recognized my friend who was there the week prior. She even remembered what she had ordered, which was their French Toast. Though I'm a big French Toast fan, I'm an even bigger Eggs Benny fan so I had to order that. I'm used to the Eggs Benny served on an English muffin with peameal bacon. Their menu said that it was also served on an English muffin however it seemed to be much heavier and denser in texture, as though it were a bagel. The bacon? Well it was real bacon or a very thin slice of pork chop; not the usual peameal bacon. Also on the Eggs Benny was some sautéed spinach and of course poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. Both were cooked to perfection. Due to the "English muffin", I'd have to rate it a 4/5. Ginger Lemon Tea - I thoroughly enjoyed this beverage so I had to also rate it. 5/5 of course.

Yelp
Nicely decorated, good atmosphere, but service is super slow. Bar is still open, yet staff is busy putting chairs on the tables and not paying attention to the surroundings. And people are still ordening drinks so it seems a bit early to be closing up like this. Snacks aren't impressive, medium quality but quite expensive. Also our tab included the orders of the people who used this table before we did. Luckily their receipt was still on the table. Conclusion: nice location with nice wine and beers but that's about it.

Yelp
This vast new restaurant / bar / workstation space is audacious and grand, but sadly falls short on many fronts. The Kanarie Club has a great interior and vibe, with huge open spaces and meandering plants throughout, and certainly intrigues and entices if you're in the Food Hallen area. During the day it's a good lunch spot and space to work remotely. However at night it becomes too large to manage, with both floor and bar staff overwhelmed by the sheer size of the place. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that they have decided to serve small portion haute cuisine that, although lekker, takes far too long to serve (over 2.5 hours for 3 course meal) and is overpriced (32 euro for 3 tiny courses). I'll give it another chance in a few months to see if they've re-thought the menu and the staff have figured things out, but I won't be holding my breath.
