Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel

The location of the hotel is its advantage, also its weakness depends on your priorities. It’s located in a suburban street away from the hustle and bustle, about a five-minute drive from Kanazawa Station. I love it because it’s less crowded and noisy. The twin room we stayed in for two nights was very spacious. It’s clean and tidy and has all the amenities as per most Japanese hotels. The hotel breakfast was awesome. It offers a good selection of Japanese and Western-style food. The Japanese food highlights the local specialties. The onsen was also fantastic. The water was nice and hot. It also has a sauna room, a small gym room, and massage chairs. Most importantly, there are free icy poles 😋 I will stay here if I go to Kanazawa again.

Beautiful hotel and delicious breakfast. However. Stayed for 2 nights. Night one great. Night 2 they had disabled the air-conditioning in my room so it was too hot to sleep. Reception told me it's winter now so the air-conditioning has been disabled (it's October and still 20° outdoor daytime temperature). They agreed the room was hot and provided a fan. Terrible night's sleep for no reason, just enable the room's air-conditioning?? Such a shame - it's a lovely hotel otherwise.

Excellent hotel with excellent service. Rooms are great very well thought of the layout! Staff is super friendly and attentive. Really enjoyed the excellent breakfast with even ice cream! Japanese breakfast was great! Free laundry machines, nice gardens, many corners to sit and relax, free coffee and tea in the lobby lounge. Free Shuttle bus to and from the station. I could only wish all hotels would be like this one. Just perfect!

Absolutely stunning! This is such a beautiful and serene place, and the staff's service was incredibly warm and attentive. I stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed both the traditional Japanese garden and the public onsen/bath. Highly recommend it!

5 star service, beautiful hotel, excellent amenities. The hotel is wonderful, clean, peaceful, and the service is so friendly!! Love the staff. Convenient shuttle that runs frequently to Kanazawa station. Comfortable lounge areas. Very chic.

In the past, my partner and I visited numerous cities in Japan but our stay at the Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel truly stood out. It provided us with memorable experiences throughout our four-night stay. We were impressed by the staff, who were exceptionally attentive to our needs and responsive to our inquiries with clear and helpful answers. Their effort to recognize us as foreign tourists and to communicate in our language made us feel welcome and appreciated, leaving a lasting positive impression.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are many facilities including laundry room, lounge area (with tea and coffee provided), massage chairs and public spa bath; all of which do not require extra charges). The breakfast was delicious and had many food varieties to choose from.Although the location is not close to any public transport, the hotel offers free shuttle bus to and from the Kanazawa station every 30 minutes. This is very convenient.

Our family of 5 visited Kanazawa for a few days and booked at the Saino Niwa Hotel based upon the strong online reviews. We were not disappoitned! We really enjoyed the friendly, professional service, the good size rooms, and the spectacular breakfast buffet. They also have a very helpful shuttle running constantly to and from the train station. The room was divided into two parts, the Japanese style living area with low seating and the bedroom and they provided "night pajamas and slippers" for all guests in the room, which were encouraged to be worn on the property premises. We enjoyed the experience! We had two rooms that were connecting, which made it very easy for a family! Not something we found alot of in Japan...and it was appreciated! The front desk was very efficient and helpful and they had our bags ready in our rooms when we arrived, having been sent there ahead of us. Only complaint is it is a bit far from the train station...and we walked there upon arrival which took about 15 minutes. However, the walk was easy and the property makes it worth it.
