Our stay here was wonderful and the location made everything within easy reach. Staff was very polite and friendly, always on hand and looking for ways to help. One day I needed to find a pharmacy, and even thought there was a language barrier, the valet walked me a block from the hotel to make sure I knew where I was going. Our room met our needs and the bathroom was spacious and clean. It sported a modern bidet and all the extras many hotels in Japan offer such as a razor, toothbrush, comb, slippers and robes (kimono style). ||It is an easy from Kenrokuen Gardens (don't miss), The Castle Park, and 21st Century Museum. The bus and taxi service was at our fingertips and there were two malls within a block of the hotel. There are plenty, I mean plenty, of restaurants within three blocks of the neighborhood from fine dining to izakayas (their version of pubs). You won't go hungry.||We booked a club level room and we found the food offerings a little spare, but of good quality. Breakfast offered pastries, yogurt, fruit, granola, juices, coffees and teas, which is fine if you are not a big eater. The evening offerings were little appetizers, nuts and fried fruits, whisky, sake, beer, wine and mixers. Again not expansive, but fine for a pre-dinner lounge. We had a delicious dinner in the French restaurant one night and the flounder was perfectly cooked. Our hotel rooms was quiet, even though the second night there was some tour folks staying there.||I would definitely stay here again.
