The location and super-friendly and helpful staff raise my rating from a 3 to a 4. Make sure to visit the famous gardens at night if here in the autumn as it makes for stunning photos. ||The reason I don’t give a 5 rating is that there were a couple of issues; the aircon in our room was ineffective so it was too hot and I had to open the window. And breakfast was so busy we had to wait 15 minutes in the lobby to get in (8.20 am on a Sunday morning). Otherwise seems a good value hotel.

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely hotel. The rooms are well appointed and we had a lovely view from our room. The breakfast we had was good and varied in options. The hotel is located in a very up-market shopping area. Any luxury brand you can think of are here!!|The added bonus of this hotel is its location. A five minute walk takes you to the edge of the castle grounds. Unfortunately the castle is still undergoing major repairs and there’s a huge scaffolded area behind the castle! A further walk takes you over the road to beautiful Kenrukuen gardens. Queues form at strategic photo points! We even saw a pair of eagles around the gardens.|We were lucky enough to stumble across a brilliant Indian restaurant,|(The Aashirwad) just behind the hotel which served amazing food at very reasonable prices.

Our stay here was wonderful and the location made everything within easy reach. Staff was very polite and friendly, always on hand and looking for ways to help. One day I needed to find a pharmacy, and even thought there was a language barrier, the valet walked me a block from the hotel to make sure I knew where I was going. Our room met our needs and the bathroom was spacious and clean. It sported a modern bidet and all the extras many hotels in Japan offer such as a razor, toothbrush, comb, slippers and robes (kimono style). ||It is an easy from Kenrokuen Gardens (don't miss), The Castle Park, and 21st Century Museum. The bus and taxi service was at our fingertips and there were two malls within a block of the hotel. There are plenty, I mean plenty, of restaurants within three blocks of the neighborhood from fine dining to izakayas (their version of pubs). You won't go hungry.||We booked a club level room and we found the food offerings a little spare, but of good quality. Breakfast offered pastries, yogurt, fruit, granola, juices, coffees and teas, which is fine if you are not a big eater. The evening offerings were little appetizers, nuts and fried fruits, whisky, sake, beer, wine and mixers. Again not expansive, but fine for a pre-dinner lounge. We had a delicious dinner in the French restaurant one night and the flounder was perfectly cooked. Our hotel rooms was quiet, even though the second night there was some tour folks staying there.||I would definitely stay here again.

A very good two nights stay.A Large double room with an enormous bed! Breakfast was good especially for Japanese variations. Nice location near to the parks but a long walk to the station. Plenty of buses go there including the loop bus from the nearby bus stop.

Theres only one chair in the lobby, that nobody can sit on, because it's got a strong parfume dispenser right next to it, that goes off every 15 seconds. The people on reception have bad english. There’s no Laundry room, only expensive Laundry service, that doesn’t work on the weekends. The guests above us must have had kids or something, because they were constantly making loud thumping noises.

This hotel is in an excellent location, with friendly, helpful service and generally good quality rooms. One downside to my stay was the bed, which was very uncomfortable. The hotel's proximity to the old districts, museums and gardens is a big plus.

Well placed for Kenrokuen Garden and Konibro shops and restaurants, but small, ugly, old-fashioned rooms. The Japanese restaurant wasn't open when we went for a couple of days. There's a very good, tiny, teppenyaki restaurant underneath the hotel in the same block, but unconnected with it. The concierge will know its name.

Superb location and hospitality. Spacious, clean, and quiet room. I attended the Kanazawa Marathon on the weekend, the hotel location is right across the street, and the hotel was so caring to open breakfast buffet at 6:30am so runners can have breakfast before race.
