Waist of money. No power in the rooms but the filling station has power. Half the stuff on the restaurant menu not available, way over priced with local products. Reception refuse to show our room in the dark without room numbers. Drive around the corner and support Echo Lodge.

We got there around 7:30pm.. We were exhausted and mentally drained from night driving on a road with Game all over. We ate good food..had hot showers and slept in clean beds. Got up happy and refreshed for the road ahead😊

We decided to overnight here on our way back from the Delta, on the 3rd January 2024 around 8pm, We encountered the most terrible customer experience ever at the restaurant and the lodge too. Will never set foot here ever again let alone recommend this place to anyone..

We made a booking by email, which was confirmed by return email. However, when we arrived after a long day's drive, we did not have a place to stay since the booking was lost. |A nice place to stay, but with terrible service this time round. |Make double sure your booking is confirmed.

I have to say that this place wildly exceeded my expectations. The bedrooms are spacious, clean and modern and we had our first sight of TV in days so were able to catch up. The bathroom was large and the shower good and hot (with amenities - shampoo etc). The pool looks really nice, although we didn’t get the chance for a dip, and the camp grounds were clean and well kept. ||The only disappointment was that the bar/liquor store was closed when we arrived (which admittedly was after 9pm on a Saturday) so we couldn’t get a drink, having spent some 12 hours in a van crossing the Kalahari. I would have tried harder to buy a few beers somewhere on the way if I’d known.

Cons: Only reluctantly did staff rectify a booking error, the restaurant put incorrect charges on the bill, which the reception again only reluctantly fixed. Windows were left open, allowing mosquitoes and moths in; woke up with bites. Dead insects on the floor. The towels were not in the bathroom; had to hunt through the chest of drawers for them. Pros: The room itself was otherwise comfortable, the AC worked. The restaurant was accommodating and made a nice vegetarian platter despite the meat-heavy menu.

Convenient location and decent restaurant are the only positives. I did book a basic room to be fair, but at more than R900 I expected much more. No WiFi, ceiling fan doesn’t work without the light being on, aircon made a terrifying crack every 10 minutes or so through the night. If I were to guess, that room should cost half that.

We arrived late on a cold night but the welcome from the staff was warm. Our hostess informed us that the restaurant will be closing within half an hour for orders if we would like to order food from the restaurant. We decided to go and have something to eat. We had the best oxtail ever. The camping ablution is neat, tidy and the hot shower was a blessing. Please visit!!!!!!
