Pretty good Georgian food overall. The ojakhuri was the best, beef was excellent quality. Georgian salad was fresh and everything came as a good sized portion. Kharcho was lacking flavour which was the only downside, more rich tomato flavours needed and fatty beef! Nice that there was Borjomi water on the menu as well, food came quickly and the staff did a great job especially considering how busy the restaurant was. I would eat here again.

The food was excellent and unique. The owner was extremely kind and took the time to tell us about Georgian culture. Opening hours aren't always accurate, so be sure to call ahead.

The waitress/owner was super rude. First, when we asked about the types of wine they had, she asked, “Can you even read?” Then she criticized our food choices and said she doesn’t like that everyone orders khinkali instead of “real” Georgian cuisine. After that, she said that ordering red wine with khinkali is blasphemy. I've never seen such food gatekeeping and rudeness.

This is a small topical restaurant in a secluded location in Jerusalem that is not easy to find. It serves exclusively Georgian cuisine so be prepared and better know in advance if you like it. The atmosphere and service are very down to earth and so are the dishes with simple but fulfilling recipes.

Authentic Georgian dining experience in Jerusalem – the food was delicious, hearty, and truly reminiscent of the original flavors. Warm atmosphere and excellent service made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

I recently dined at Kangaroo Georgian Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Although the food was okay, I must say that the restaurant did not do justice to the classic Georgian dishes I ordered, namely the Khachapuri and Khinkali. The flavors were lackluster and failed to capture the authentic essence of Georgian cuisine. What added to my disappointment was the issue I encountered with the billing. Upon receiving the check, I noticed that I had been overcharged 51 shekels. I had to bring this error to the attention of the waitress, which was an inconvenience in itself. Additionally, the inclusion of service charges in the bill was perplexing, especially for a party of one. The imposed 12 percent service charge may be considered generous by Israeli standards, but the service I received was anything but deserving of such a fee. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly poor. I found myself waiting for an extended period of time both for the arrival of my food and when requesting the check. The staff seemed indifferent and inattentive, showing no regard for their customers' time or satisfaction. Given my unpleasant experience, I have no intention of returning to this establishment, and I strongly advise against visiting Kangaroo Georgian Restaurant. The combination of lackluster food, an erroneous overcharge, and subpar service makes this place far from enjoyable. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other dining options that better represent the true flavors and hospitality of Georgian cuisine.

Highly recommended place to visit when in Jerusalem. Good place to seat with friends and enjoy a good time. Tasty food and old architecture are a winner. Make sure book a table in advance.

In my opinion, it is one of the best restaurants in Jerusalem. The portions are big and the food is delicious. The waitress was friendly and helpful.
