I recently dined at Kangaroo Georgian Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Although the food was okay, I must say that the restaurant did not do justice to the classic Georgian dishes I ordered, namely the Khachapuri and Khinkali. The flavors were lackluster and failed to capture the authentic essence of Georgian cuisine.
What added to my disappointment was the issue I encountered with the billing. Upon receiving the check, I noticed that I had been overcharged 51 shekels. I had to bring this error to the attention of the waitress, which was an inconvenience in itself. Additionally, the inclusion of service charges in the bill was perplexing, especially for a party of one. The imposed 12 percent service charge may be considered generous by Israeli standards, but the service I received was anything but deserving of such a fee.
To make matters worse, the service was incredibly poor. I found myself waiting for an extended period of time both for the arrival of my food and when requesting the check. The staff seemed indifferent and inattentive, showing no regard for their customers' time or satisfaction.
Given my unpleasant experience, I have no intention of returning to this establishment, and I strongly advise against visiting Kangaroo Georgian Restaurant. The combination of lackluster food, an erroneous overcharge, and subpar service makes this place far from enjoyable. Save yourself the disappointment and explore other dining options that better represent the true flavors and hospitality of Georgian cuisine.
