The location is fantastic and that is what you were paying for. It's all there is. Other places nearby looked better from the outside. There is no night time attendant which is...worrisome.
It's mostly a place that caters to second and third world people, so sanitation and cleanliness is tough to enforce. It's a bit run down. Bathrooms are rusted and scummy. The doors have a hard time closing, people yelling and banging on doors in the middle of the night. NO night attendant was just.. wild.
There are signs saying, you cannot take food and drink to your room, but for the price they charge they can go pound sand on that one.
The kitchen is pretty much a mess. Homeless people sleeping in the basement, or maybe that's just people who didn't want to pay.
Overall, the Kangaroo Inn is a dump. I did not feel safe, but... the wifi is great, the employees were as nice as they could be, good water pressure, and reasonably comfy private rooms. That's about it. You'll find better value elsewhere.
