Stayed 5 days, close to Kingscote which has the supermarket and places to eat. Cabins are perfect for a couple. Beds uncomfortable, and place needed a good mopping otherwise was great place to stay. Laundry was great also. Kangaroos come most evenings to the property, was nice to get up close to them. At night we could hear rats or mice in the roof and wall cavities but never saw one. Bathroom small but for 2 people was okay.

Stayed here on a work trip. Good affordable cabins in a great location close to Kingscote. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the strong Wifi signal very convenient. Will stay here again.

While the location was convenient and the self check-in process was smooth, we were very disappointed with the overall condition and facilities of the cabins. The lack of a BBQ, despite being advertised, was inconvenient, specially because we pre-marinated meat before arrival. We also found inconsistencies in provisions between units, including only being provided with one toilet paper roll for a two-bedroom unit booked for three nights. Most concerning was the presence of cockroaches, spiders, and mice, which made our stay very uncomfortable. The two-bedroom cabin's bathroom was extremely small and impractical, particularly the shower. The furniture was old, dusty, and in need of updating. Overall, we found the cabins to be poor value for money and would not recommend them for families.

Cabin #3 had the necessities but is on it's way to shabby (e.g. rusted shower bar, water damaged cabinets). Floor had not been swept and I had to sweep and mop it myself, and the nightstands had a heavy cote of dust. Was nice to see kangaroos on the property in the evening.

Great location which made it easy to use as a base and visit other parts of the island. Cabins are older, so don't expect anything more than average facilities. (Shower cubicle was only just big enough to get wet). If you don't expect anything flash, then the price vs location makes it suitable.

Good location (don't expect beach front) but unfortunately our cabin (1) had an overpowering smell of curry, the room was grimy and not the cleanest, the shower was so small that only our kids could have a decent shower and the main bed was so saggy and uncomfortable that I ended up sleeping on the couch.

We arrived here expecting clean well appointed cabins. I took my luggage in and thought I had dropped something on the floor. I wiped it up but had to clean a lot more than I expected. The floor was filthy. I am thankful I did not need to do a lot of cooking. I used up food left over from our previous cabin so the microwave was sufficient to heat the meal. There was a fry pan - I did not check to see if it worked. There was no stove top or oven. This is not sufficient for anyone staying for more than a day. We were there for 3 nights. We went out one night. |The plastic toilet seat needs repairing as it is not attached to one side of the toilet.|There were a few trees around and I did enjoy seeing the birds in the morning and evening.

My partner and I stayed in Cabin 5 after being evacuated from the Flinders Chase due to the bushfires in the national park. |The manager, Georgia, is lovely and very responsive over the phone, and was able to find us a cabin last minute given we had to forfeit other accomodation we had booked. She has been such a help to us and we are so grateful. |The cabin was clean, well equipped and in a great location amongst the bush. |The electric hot plate and microwave enabled us to cook a decent dinner and there was an aircon unit and fan to keep the place cool. |We have stayed in many cabins around Australia so we love this type of accomodation. Highly recommend for anyone who likes bush accomodation!

Yelp
On Kangaroo Island or in a similar setting, staying in a no frills cabin, surrounded by land w/ wildlife, is appropriate. Our cabin shows signs of wear, but there's plenty of space, and the kitchen is very useful b/c there's no restaurant food to get excited about. We got a ride to Drake's, a relatively large grocery store for the area, where we stocked up for a few days. Keep in mind that the closest coffee shop is about a 20 min walk. It's something, but. Have a car or book drivers.
