Charming local shop with unique finds! Kanibal & Co. is a lovely boutique in Jersey City with a great collection of locally themed gifts, home decor, and crafts. The staff is super friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. Some of the greeting cards and items felt a bit pricey, but the quality and vibe make it worth a visit. Perfect place to pick up thoughtful gifts or just browse something different!

my favorite store in jersey city especially for gifts. it’s a one stop shop with a great selection of pieces from clothing to candles to notepads to candy plus more. there is literally something for everyone. they also support so many other local businesses and artists. the staff is always so kind and helpful. the owner certainly knows what she’s doing!

PERFECT GIFTS for Every Need! I literally cannot with how amazing this store is and how awesome their staff is! I had to quickly grab a housewarming gift for a first visit to a dear friends new house (while my grumbly husband waiting in the car). I knew the perfectly curated store ALWAYS has an impressive array of custom scented candles on their back wall (replete in an artful gift box with box of matches = PERFECT!) So I selected a delicious Olive Blossom & Hyacinth, Amazing! And on the way to the register, passed the "guys" table and found a perfect space-themed puzzle for their young son. I asked the staff if I could get individual gift bags and in a blur of ribbons and smiles, they removed gift prices & I was handed two BEAUTIFUL gifts bags, and informed "The puzzle's in the larger bag." This whole process, I kid you not, took under 5 minutes & the dumbstruck look on my husbands face when I returned to the car in 5 minutes w two perfect gift bags was MY gift! LOL ... Thank You Kanibal & Co.! #Lifesavers

You can find literally anything in this shop. I stop in all the time to buy myself a gift, to browse, and I ALWAYS buy Christmas gifts here. They have a range of products from baking kits to home ware (amazing candles) to jewelry to Mens and women's clothes. The curation of clothing is impeccable and they always have 2x which is perfect for my fiancé. There is something for everyone in here and you can get immersed in the store for quite a while. I dare you to browse and not purchase anything....it's not easy I know from experience lol

Oh the damage I can do at this store! They carry everything from socks to candles to furniture to jewelry (the list goes on). They curate a great amount of items that are unique and beautiful yet fit together. Great place to shop for yourself or for gifts!

Kanibal is an awesome little shop in downtown JC. So great for gifts and fun finds! They have skincare products, fun kits (hot sauce and pretzel making, for example), puzzles, Sugarfina candy, clothing, and more. There's a decent menswear section as well. You can find something for everyone! They also have a section of Jersey City themed wares, which is nice to represent! During Christmas time, they have creative and relevant ornaments. Kanibal also partners with other local small businesses occasionally which is such a lovely idea. Two stores in one visit! They are super active on instagram and it's super easy to buy from them on that platform. They are constantly posting and updating what they have in stock, so you can easily see and then DM them what you'd like to order, and then venmo them to pay. This was SO convenient back in the spring when they were closed to covid. Their instagrams is updated more often than their site so I would go to there for online shopping. Everyone there is so friendly and helpful. If they don't have a product you are looking for, they'll be able to suggest alternatives. GREAT option for shopping and supporting local instead of going to a big box store.

Such a gem in jersey city. After transplanting into JC about 4 years ago...I finally made my into a store to shop instead of finding somewhere new to eat. What a spectacular find! ...only disappointed I found it AFTER Christmas. This is truly a one stop shop for everyone and anyone on any list you may have to shop for. Great finds from jewelry, clothes, special gifts and love that i can support a local shop. Found a beautiful long camel coat and even on sale for 20% off. Will definitely be back!

Kanibal & Co. is one of my favorite places to shop in Jersey City for gifts! They just opened their new, larger location across the street and now it's fully decorated and even more awesome that it was before. If you're a gal/guy who is into unique gifts, candles, beautiful paper, and jewelry, you have to stop by here! Also, sometimes Kanibal offers crafting classes that are super fun. Can't recommend this place enough.

Favorite boutique in jersey city! Fantastic and thoughtful selection of goods. High quality and the crew that work there are amazing. Highly recommend it for gifts och if you are looking for cool clothing pieces for yourself. Skincare items are carefully selected as is everything in the cozy store. Do yourself a favor and take a stroll in the store and give yourself as sense of what jersey city's finest have to offer.

Visiting this boutique is always a welcome respite from mall shopping. It's almost impossible to leave without a purchase, whether it's a tee shirt, a pair of leggings or a housewarming gift. Anytime I've stopped in, I've been greeted with a smile and sincerity. Everyone who works there is helpful and never pushy. This store sets a fine example for small business owners. I find myself in here about twice a month, which may not sound like a lot, but it's huge as I usually hate to shop. I am the kind of person that only goes shopping when they absolutely need something or I need to buy a gift for someone; but I find myself walking into Kanibal & Co sometimes just to see whats new. Great selection of housewares and gifts (greeting cards), as well as accessories (jewelry, hats, small handbags), men's and women's clothes, and hip Jersey City specific products. Their instagram account is great to follow to see what just came in and they also promote their craft classes which are reasonably priced, include wine and are a really good time.

I can't believe there is only 1 review for this place. The owners of this establishment are by far the nicest people you will ever meet. They are the foundation of Jersey City business and help everyone to succeed in the area, not just themselves. They do everything to help this community and are truly the best. The shop is now moving to a larger space and they can provide more items for everyone. Quirky items, jewelry, furniture, clothing, small items for your house and can even have people design/make furniture. My wife and i have so many items from Kanibal & Co. around the house its crazy. This is the type of store where you feel like you are home with your family. They get to know you, they appreciate you as a customer and will bend over backwards to make sure your happy. They do al this because its just who they are. Go shop here and support them. You won't be dissapointed.

I love this place, a great variety of home goods, jewelry, clothes, new and vintage stuff, and taxidermy. I always walk in to browse and leave with something.

My first stop whenever I'm shopping for gifts and apartment accents! Kanibal has a great selection of clothing, jewelry, home accessories, beauty products, and more. The minute you walk in, there are a thousand different things to check out and the selection is always changing. They source their products from all over so the offerings stay unique. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend you stop by and check it out

My boyfriend and I purchased two lovely chairs for our living room here, and they were so helpful in the buying process. They held them for the day until we could get there and even advised us on how to best get them delivered to Manhattan! We will definitely be back!

Great lil spot here in town, they always have good options for last minute gifts and gifts for myself. This is a fun store and always an experience upon entering. Worth checking out if you're ever downtown.

I love the product assortments offered and their prices are relatively fair. Kristen is amazing and a true testament of what a small business Owner should be. She is tuned in, and definitely offers the most impeccable customer service I have received in a long time. She helped my husband and I with the purchase of one of her estate pieces. She was amazing throughout the whole process. I try to make it here at least 4 times a month. I can't recall a time going in and not at least picking up a little something. Also, a great place to go if you need a quick gift in a pinch.

Kanibal & Co and founder Kristin is the exact reason why you want to shop at a local small business. This is so much more than a store with amazing constantly changing products. Its a place where you meet up with people, go to ask for advice, learn about other local shops and even learn a new skill. The shop is wonderfully curated with select items that you don't see elsewhere. It even has a great men's dept for my husband who pretty much only shops here now. I'm in the shop several times a month and always see something new. The price point is just right, the owner stands behind her products and is vested in Jersey City.

Favorite store in downtown JC! The owners have such great taste (home decor, clothes, and accessories). I especially like the dresses and furniture though I have never purchased furniture (YET).

The owner Kristen is a delight to work with, and was extremely helpful when my fiancé and I were looking for engagement rings. She made the whole process painless and fun. We met with her a few times to review some selections after telling her exactly what we were looking for and ended up finding the perfect ring for us. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive when we went in to look at a wedding ring for my wife. They put us at ease and were very knowledgeable. We liked working with them so much I had a band made for me there.

Looks like I have the honor of writing the first review on Kanibal's new page because they just moved into their new beautiful space! That is until the other reviews are transferred over. I bought this neat Jersey City T shirt and the owner Kristen gently convinced me that the 3/4 sleeve would look just great even though it was slightly out of my comfort zone. I've gotten a lot of "thumbs ups" wearing the Jersey City shirt in NYC because people see the Jersey and smile.

This is such an adorable boutique ship located in the heart of downtown Jersey City. Conveniently a few blocks away from the grove street path and located across the street from a citi bike rack. This store ha great candles and fun gifts. There is some clothing, accessories and jewelry along with many random fun things you would expect to find at this type of boutique. Today was the first time I visited the store with my boyfriend during the JC 'block party' featuring live music, fresh food, drinks, and give always. The store was serving Slow and Low whiskey sold in the area to try. It was absolutely delicious and made shopping extr fun. I will definitely come to this store the next time I need to find a fun gift for a friend. The prices are moderate and they have a good selection of all types of different things.

love this store! they have such a large selection of home, apparel and gift items. store is dog friendly (but the store has a lot of fragile items like ceramics that are at the same level as a dog, so maybe the store wouldn't be safe for a hyper doggy) and staff members are kind and helpful. they're very active and responsive on social media, which is helpful if you're curious about inventory before heading to the store. prices are reasonable and sometimes there are sales. they also offer shipping.

Love!! Wonderful new space with tons of well curated merchandise: vintage home decor and housewares, jersey city inspired goods (non cheesy!) like mugs and keychains, both men and women clothing (beautiful items and reasonably priced), lovely jewelry made by local artisans and jewelers. I couldn't stay long enough to get a good look at everything but will definitely be back. They also offer monthly arts and crafts workshops/classes. This is a shop that downtown jc has been needing! Well done!

Gorgeous store with lots of beautifully random stuff - clothing, household, notebooks, xmas stuff. Their clothing is affordable. I saw dresses for under $40 and coats for around $80. Def will pass by regularly to see what new stuff they have
