Kanopi House

If you to unwind, disconnect, and relax; This is the place to be. Kanopi House is unique. I haven't been to any other place like it. Fresh air, sounds of nature and the island sun is the best part. Four of us stayed in Sweet Wood house, it's a two level tree house and it was very nice. The concept is minimalist and the services provided my staff was amazing. They are attentive and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The food was very good. The blue lagoon is an experience of a lifetime. Looked up the history on it, which made it more amazing. We saw spotted rays, sea turtles, and small fish. The water feels cold and warm at the same time but refreshing. Kayaks and paddle boards are available to use upon request. Overall, it was a great escape and I will definitely return.

This was our third trip to Jamaica, but our first stay at Kanopi House. We’ll never stay anywhere else when we come back to the island. ||The entire property is stunningly beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. The menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner changes daily, and our expectations were exceeded with every meal. If you see pepper steak on the menu, be sure to order it. So delicious.||There is private access to the Blue Lagoon, with free use of kayaks and paddle boards. The Blue Lagoon cannot be captured in pictures. It is so beautiful and the water (at least in January) was perfect. ||We stayed in Sweetwood with my brother and his wife. It was perfect for four people, but it could have easily accommodated another two or three people. The ambiance is the room and the restaurant is fantastic, with really cool architectural touches everywhere.||Special shoutout to Terri, the food and beverage manager. She’s the best!

I recently stayed at Kanopi house while visiting family and celebrating a milestone. My hope was to have a relaxing, yet adventurous trip and the staff didn’t disappoint. With last minute notice, Terri went out of her way to decorate our room beautifully. She also ensured our dinner was extra special by adding decorations to the dining area. She went above and beyond throughout our stay, even providing items that we had forgotten to pack and truly made us feel at home.||Each meal was better than the last. Our server Chadwayne was welcoming and shared tips on activities in the area. He was always extremely pleasant and thoughtful. He provided amazing service. ||Peter was amazing. What we thought would be a quick tour of the Blue Lagoon ended up being an unforgettable excursion. We’ve traveled to Jamaica countless times, however his efforts to make sure we enjoyed our stay were stellar. We’re truly grateful and can’t express the hospitality Peter showed us during our trip. A Hidden Gem in Portland -Pure Bliss. I recently spent the weekend at Kanopi House, and though it was a short stay, it was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking views and serene ambiance. The property effortlessly combines modern elegance with the natural beauty of its surroundings, creating a tranquil oasis that feels like a dream. The rooms are impeccably designed, offering both comfort and style with thoughtful touches that make your stay special. Waking up to the sound of nature and opening the glass and wooden shutters to take in the lush scenery was truly a magical experience. A true sanctuary. A little piece of heaven on earth. Privacy, tranquility, solitude and luxury. Every meal was fantastic. Terri, the food and beverage manager, was the most gracious host you could ever wish for! The views of the blue lagoon were meant to be enjoyed only with the free use of kayaks provided by the Kanopi House.

The entire staff at Kanopi House provided excellent customer service & really made it feel like home away from home. Mr.Burchell and Terri were exceptionally warm & considerate during our stay.||Our room (Heliconia) was pristine, spacious and nestled in the luscious greenery & nature the property had to offer. The room featured a large indoor open shower, louvred walls, small kitchenette & a few board games to choose from.||The property is perched on a hill overlooking the breath-taking Blue Lagoon (that guests are free to access & enjoy). Be prepared to navigate steps when moving from rooms to dining areas.||The menu varies daily offering both Jamaican and continental options. It was certainly a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere with another breath-taking view of the bay. The service at the main dining room was attentive, which made up for the marginally inflated prices.||Overall a wonderful experience and perfect place to unplug.

Had a great time here at Kanopi house! It is a beautiful property with a great and attentive staff. You have access to the blue lagoon, can snorkel with the fish, kayak or swim over to monkey island. Breakfast was included in our stay and we dined there for dinner two nights and the food was incredible. This is not a touristy area so attractions can take a while to travel to but if you don’t mind that this is an excellent option and a nice way to see the local side of JA. Much respect to the staff at KH especially Mr Burchell, Ms Terry, Ziggy, & AJ!

Had a wonderful time. The staff really makes the experience really special. Much respect to the whole team. Will be coming back soon.
