The environment is superb. The fried rice with local flavor is delicious. Must try for first timer. Drink perhaps I would recommend a half pint of local beer 1664. Pricing is on high side but I think reasonable with the location located at the center of the city and it's nice ambient environment. I would recommend their pizza for their local taste which can't be found elsewhere.

The ambience is lovely and relaxing, and I really appreciate the industrial fans that keep the place cool and breezy even without air-conditioning. I had the rainforest fried rice! It was very flavorful and delicious, their fried cauliflower was super crispy! The honey BBQ wings were just as good, tender, tasty, and perfectly glazed. The space itself is beautiful and relaxing, making it a great spot to unwind over good food. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

Cafe is located in a charming, old-style building that adds to its authentic atmosphere. The food is enjoyable and offers a mix of multiple cuisines. While a bit on the pricey side, the overall experience is worth it. I especially missed their unique “Food of the Month” items like the sponge and dirty water menu, hope they bring them back!

I tried their two recommended dishes. The taste was just nice for me, not too strong or overwhelming. What I really enjoyed was the traditional setup of the place — very laid-back and relaxing, perfect for a quiet meal. Friendly service too. Worth a visit if you’re nearby and want to enjoy a simple, local experience.

Wonderful place to visit. We had our dinner there and the food - an eclectic fusion of local and Italian - is absolutely great. Tasty, fresh and innovative without being pretentious. We were a bit disappointed though with the chocolate fudge with vanilla ice cream, both were that evening definitely not at the hight of their otherwise succulent offers. Very friendly and efficient staff! The location is also very central and you get there easily by foot from any of the major international and local hotels in Kuching. Will return soon again!

Wow!! Truly a phenomenal dining experience and a feast for the senses!! It was actually quite difficult to find places serving good Dayak food in a restaurant setting in Kuching but this place ticks all the boxes. Had the opportunity to try many unique local foods for the first time. Highly recommend the set meal which comes with ayam pansuh, paku belacan, umai jellyfish, pasu bawang and bario rice. The other dishes we tried were also executed wonderfully, brilliantly melding indigenous culture with contemporary cuisine, and they turned out delicious! The chicken chop with terung asam, sotong bakar, kambing asap and gula apong satay were all moist, tender and seasoned to perfection. Special mention goes to the mashed potatoes which were some of the best I’ve ever had. Overall I would say its the best choice for people who are new to indigenous Bornean cuisine and wants to have an introductory taste of everything. Service was also absolutely amazing. When we asked the staff for recommendations on which tuak to order, she offered us a little taste of all the different varieties and we eventually settled on the pandan tuak. Really smooth with a mild sweetness and pandan fragrance which lingers afterwards. The social atmosphere of the place was also very enjoyable, suitable for social gatherings for both family and friends. Definitely an institution in Kuching which deserves a return visit to explore some of their other offerings!

High recommend for local cuisine! Nice environment with delicious choice of local food! Must try fried laksa, pansuh kuey teow, rainforest fried rice… Others nice one will be satay and others are okay not bad. Highly recommend! Oh ya, the coffee is not so strong coffee smell, I think it’s acceptable for non coffee lover like me.

My fiancée brought me to this restaurant during our transit at Kuching. It's a short trip from the airport.. about 7KM.. I think. Food was good and the deco was nice. It was after lunch hour so it's not crowded. The place was decked out in the local theme. Absolutely love it. We didn't get a chance to try their wines due to the short time we have. Maybe next time. Just simply love the decoration and the creative catchy phrases they use everywhere.
