Absolutely beautiful architecture—it feels like you are staying in an ancient restored Nepalese temple! The staff are lovely and ready to assist you with anything. The breakfast is delicious. Honestly I can’t see myself staying anywhere else in Kathmandu! I will definitely be back.

I loved staying here! We stayed multiple nights. The front desk service was incredible and helped us multiple times to order taxis and shuttles around Kathmandu, and to and from the airport. They also let us leave our extra bags at the hotel while we took some detours to Bhutan and to a trek in the Annapurna range. The food is incredible, the architecture was beautiful, it's very close to shopping, and a nice oasis from the busy city. If I go back to Kathmandu, I will be staying here again.

We spent a week at Kantipur Temple House and it was truly unforgettable. The building itself is stunning, a beautiful example of traditional architecture that feels both timeless and welcoming. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, always going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was a daily highlight: well-stocked, fresh, and with little surprises that kept things interesting every morning. It was also wonderfully quiet, a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city. One of our favorite parts was the complimentary rooftop yoga, the perfect way to start the day. KTH is a rare blend of charm, hospitality, and thoughtful touches. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel. The management here must be amazing. The staff choices are brilliant, the staff are excellent. The food in the kitchen is also great, try the boar dish with some of the freshly cooked flat bread. I remote worked here for 11 days and was made very welcome.

I had a great stay at this heritage and eco friendly hotel. All the staff were very courteous and polite, and always greeted you with a smile. Room was always freshened up at night and water jug refilled regularly (I try to avoid using plastic bottles and plastic bags which has nearly been impossible in South Asia, but this hotel does a wonderful job). No TV- which I don’t need anyways. My room had it’s on wifi. Delicious breakfast. They have rooftop yoga Sun-Fri in the mornings. It’s seconds away from the loud and busy alleys of Thamel. ||If you’re going to stay here, a block away is a massage place with well trained blind massage therapists. Their prices are great but they are also really good at what they do!||Special thanks to Binesh and Aprena at the front desk, and Ganesh and Davendra at the restaurant who made my stay extra special!

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Kathmandu. The staff is super nice and very helpful— they made our stay something special. We really recommend the yoga class, which takes place every day (except Saturday) on the rooftop. We will definitely come back! Thanks again for the amazing time at your hotel ❤️

Ate a meal at the restaurant and I have to say it was a brilliant experience. The architecture of the building is interesting and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food quality was good, and menu offered a decent selection of international foods. I ate the Jangli Bandel (Wild Boar) in Nepalese Herbs, very tasty if portion sizes were a little small for the money. Not the cheapest of places in Kathmandu to eat but far from the most expensive. They have a traditional floor seating area as well as a western area for those that prefer. I opted for the Nepali experience and actually enjoyed it!

We had a three night stay at Kantipur, and we are glad we started and finished our stay here. The whole property had so much charm! I loved their minimalistic approach, the service was top notch (especially in the restaurant), the front desk/room service was speedy, and the food was lovely too (loved the buckwheat paratha). The location is excellent, as you’re not right in the middle of the traffic but only a street away. The hotel can order you an economical taxi pretty much anywhere! We also had the opportunity to try the yoga. It was a nice warm up to the day - but would recommend the mats provided be washed or for guests to bring their own. As someone else noted, better lighting in the bathroom would be appreciated. All in all, we would stay here again and recommend our friends to also.
