Review of Karaarom Hotel, Bangkok
We recently stayed at Karaarom Hotel in Bangkok, following our visit to Tints of Blue Hotel. Both properties are owned by the same owner, and it’s clear they share a similar philosophy of design, hospitality, and atmosphere.
Arrival & Atmosphere
From the moment we arrived, the experience felt thoughtful and refreshing. We were welcomed with a chilled towel lightly scented with essential oils and a delicious cold cocktail-style juice—an immediate gesture of care that set the tone for our stay.
The decor is soothing and elegant, filled with designer furniture that creates a calming effect the moment you step inside. The lighting is soft and carefully considered, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere throughout the property.
Rooms
The rooms are extremely well curated, with wood featured throughout the interior design. A clever glass-covered shower room provides everything you could possibly need, while a beautiful sofa seating area by the window invites relaxation. The room size felt fair for the cost, balancing comfort and value.
A thoughtful in-room touch is the complimentary insulated French press, accompanied by quality ground coffee sachets and two sachets of lovely jasmine tea—perfect for a quiet morning or evening pause.
Service & Amenities
The staff were full of smiles and catered to our every need—even helping us procure a charming handcrafted ceramic pot from the sister hotel. A bulletin board in the lobby is a thoughtful touch, helping guests adjust their itineraries. The souvenir shop is filled with beautiful items, and the hotel also offers a gym and swimming pool for guests seeking wellness and leisure.
Breakfast
The standout highlight of Karaarom is undoubtedly the breakfast. Food is delivered to a very good to high standard, with multiple set combinations and the option to enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. A range of hot and cold drinks is available each morning, and one day I was even presented with a tiger in my latte art—a delightful surprise that captured the hotel’s attention to detail.
Location
The only downside is the location. While easily accessible by taxi, walking to the nearest BTS station (Thong Lo) takes about 10–15 minutes along a busy two-way road with only a narrow safety margin. It felt a little dangerous at times. That said, Karaarom’s near-central location does provide access to many attractions and conveniences once you’re settled.
Overall Impression
Karaarom is a beautifully designed and carefully considered hotel, run by wonderful people who go above and beyond for their guests. Despite the minor challenge of its walking access, the overall experience is warm, stylish, and memorable—making it a property worth recommending, especially for those who appreciate thoughtful design and heartfelt hospitality.
Although this was my first time at Karaarom, I am already considering making a return.
