A Festive Julbord Experience at Karamellan Café Our group of four adults and one child had the pleasure of enjoying a julbord dinner at Karamellan Café, and it was an absolute hit, especially for our Dutch friend, who was experiencing a Swedish julbord for the first time. From the moment we walked in, the warmth and festive atmosphere set the tone for the evening. We were welcomed with a choice of glögg, either with or without alcohol—a comforting and quintessentially Swedish start to the meal. The buffet spread was nothing short of incredible. It featured a wide variety of delicious dishes, ensuring there was something for everyone. The selection catered to various dietary needs, offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. This traditional julbord spread beautifully captured the essence of Swedish holiday culture, and it was wonderful to see our Dutch friend embrace the experience and thoroughly enjoy the authentic flavors of a Swedish Christmas feast and our little fellow enjoying all the sweets. The service was flawless. The waitresses were attentive and friendly, always on hand to clear plates, offer drinks or coffee, and ensure we had everything we needed. Their efficiency and warmth added to the overall charm of the evening. The atmosphere was lovely and festive, with many guests dressed in their Christmas attire, adding to the holiday spirit. Our julbord table was reserved from 16:00 to 19:00, allowing us plenty of time to enjoy the meal and soak in the cozy ambiance. This julbord dinner was a seasonal offering from 22 November to 22 December, making it a limited-time treat that perfectly captured the magic of the holiday season. Karamellan Café provided a truly memorable dining experience that we will cherish. Whether you’re craving an authentic julbord, looking for a place to host a company Christmas party, or introducing someone to the tradition of Swedish julbord, this is the place to be.

A nice location close to the Drottningholm Palace where you can rest after a visit to the palace and gardens. There is seating outside and inside, with many tables. Although you might need to wait in peak hours. The food is quite good and the service is very fast. You order at the counter and then wait for them to bring you the food to the table. If you don't wish to seat down there are also sandwiches to go.

Very delicious meatballs! Enjoyed the dish. Tried the seafood gratin - wouldn’t recommend, the fish and mash potatoes don’t go too well. Overpriced coffee but average taste. Staff and service was good, it’s nice place to get a rest after a visit in the palace area

I had a long walk around Drottingham Slott. It was very pleasant to sit at Karamellan and eat a steaming hot bowl of fish soup. The soup tasted fine but the white fish was extremely salty. The young man serving the food was very thoughtful- shout out to him. He noticed I forgot to take a knife and brought one over in case I wanted to butter my bread.

A touristy cafe next to the Palace, so expect touristy price and crowd during peak season. We visited during the morning and only tried their fish soup and iced latte, with the fish soup far exceeding expectations. It was not only substantial, but came with generous amount of seafood such as mussels, clams, shrimps and fish meat. Enough for two people to share. The service was also warm and friendly, though you'll have to order at the counter. Our only gripe was the bees flying around you, which may not be up for the restaurant to control, but would still disrupt the eating experience. There are both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's up to you to decide. Not a bad place for a meal if there's no crowd, though we do not know how's the standard like with crowd.

I loved this place ! You have several range of local pastries to taste and the waiters there are so nice, professional and helpful ! I felt such a good energy in this peaceful place ! You can enjoy a good coffee and I recommend their Pecan Pie ! It’s really good ! Also thank you for the beautiful and yummy Cappuccino ! You have a big terrace outside to enjoy the sun and the coffee shop is located at the entrance of the palace and it garden ! Toilets are super clean by the way ! I recommend this coffee shop to have a beautiful break after your visit ! Oh also, I LOVED the tulips and orchids there !

Had a Napoleon which was soggy and a Pistage cake which never seen pistage nuts - just green aroma.. this place was good some time ago, its a pity that at such a touristic spot is not offering quality Swedish cakes to represent Sweden ina good way.
