This place, though modeled after a royal palace, is much more than just a restaurant. It also serves as a cultural attraction, offering entertainment, traditional performances, and cultural displays that showcase the richness of Burmese heritage.
There’s a small entrance fee of 500 kyats, but once inside, you’re treated to a grand environment—golden architecture, ornate carvings, and a peaceful lake with a large traditional boat. The ambiance feels regal yet welcoming, and the entire space is perfect for both sightseeing and dining.
The food itself is reasonably priced and earns about 4 stars—not exceptional, but still quite good. While there’s no Wi-Fi, the cool, majestic interior and immersive cultural atmosphere more than make up for it.
Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to
experience local culture, enjoy a beautiful setting, and have a good meal. I would still give it a full five-star rating for the overall experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Yangon.
