Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages

Unfortunately only had two nights here, would have loved to stay longer. Fantastic introduction to Kenya. Staff very accommodating. Rooms are a good size, beds and amenities are excellent .|Highly recommended.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place — the gardens are lush and relaxing, perfect for a quiet afternoon. I had the buffet lunch, and everything was fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented. The service was friendly, and the outdoor setting made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for a calm, scenic meal in Karen!

Stayed here for 2 nights, post safari adventure. What a beautiful place. The staff was SO great. Always smiling and doing everything they could to make your stay wonderful. The food is excellent! The grounds are so immaculate. Definitely the place to stay when in Nairobi. Thank you to everyone there.

A beautiful evening at Karen Blixen – wonderful atmosphere! We arrived at Karen Blixen without a reservation and were a large group of ten people. Despite that, we were welcomed very warmly and given a table without any issues – the staff was incredibly accommodating. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning. The interior design took our breath away – it’s beautifully decorated, tastefully lit, and created such a pleasant and inviting vibe. We genuinely enjoyed just being there. As for the food, eight out of ten of us were very happy with their meals – great selection and flavors. However, two dishes (one pasta and one pizza) didn’t quite meet expectations and were unfortunately not very good. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. All in all, it was a truly lovely evening and a place we would definitely recommend – especially for the ambiance and warm hospitality.

The place is beautiful but the service was horrible. Maybe train your employees to do their jobs better. And the food was not what I expected. Very disappointing. I thought butter chicken would be a good option since it’s very well known here, but again disappointing. We had Loise as a waitress, she was rude.

We had great food here at one of the outside tables. Pork chops, pizzas and the Caesar salad. The chicken tikka pizza was amazing. A little bit on the pricey side but beautiful gardens and atmosphere.

I had my wedding weeks ago at the Karen blixen garden, I had paid for the whole amount a month to my wedding, but ask me why two days to the wedding the management calls us to ask for an extra huge amount aside for my wedding to push through.I remained adamant in not sending any extra money that was not in the contract or mentioned earlier. On the wedding day the lady head manager was sure to put off the lights at exactly 6pm ignoring any requests for upto 30minutes or less to finish up the wedding. We had to finish the wedding with no sound or lights. We agree there are rules in every business but i found the lady head manager unnecessarily ignorant and dismissive. The grounds are beautiful, but if you wish to have your wedding there. Be aware of this otherwise they will leave you in an awkward, discontent and sad ending after a beautiful day.

Beautiful property and gardens. The staff were very attentive; we felt well cared for. Would definitely recommend to others.
