Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages

An absolute hidden gem! If you are looking for authentic local cuisine in a stunning setting, this is it. We didn’t stay in the hotel, but visited for dinner.The restaurant is tucked away in a very beautiful garden, making you feel like you are in the heart of nature. The food was delicious, and they have an excellent selection of very good wine. A must-visit!

Karen Blixen Coffee Garden and Cottages is truly a beautiful and serene place. The gardens and overall atmosphere are charming, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing outing. The setting alone makes it worth visiting, and the food is good. However, the service needs significant improvement. The waitstaff were slow to respond, often taking more than 10 minutes to attend after being called. At times, it felt as though some staff members were deliberately avoiding eye contact and ignoring requests. This greatly affected the overall experience. With such a stunning environment and good food, improving the attentiveness and responsiveness of the service team would make this place.

I've been there twice for dinner in just three days. I liked it that much! And I'm going for breakfast tomorrow. Great food and drinks. Get the Paneer Tikka Masala. It's delicious. And the mango chutney they serve it with is divine.

The gardens are super tranquil and the staff are welcoming and attentive. We had lunch from a delicious and very luxurious buffet, with meat cooked freshly on the grill. The wine list is fabulous - we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Lovely resident cats.

We had a wonderful experience at Karen Blixen, made even more special by the excellent service we received. Our waiter, Ali, was outstanding — very attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. His attention to detail stood out, from anticipating our needs to ensuring everything was perfect throughout our visit.|The service truly elevated the entire experience and made us feel well taken care of. Kudos to Ali and the Karen Blixen team for such exceptional hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

The place itself is okay but the customer service was extremely poor. We waited over 30 minutes just to get a menu and couldn’t get the attention of a single waiter. Meanwhile, one table of white customers had multiple waiters attending to them the entire time. The difference in treatment was obvious and unacceptable. It’s very disappointing to experience this kind of discrimination in my own country. When we were finally served, the food was below average and absolutely not worth the wait.

Really nice location for company retreats and team bonding sessions. It’s also ok for couples that want to unwind. Really quiet and serene. It’s my second time here and definitely won’t be the last.

Wonderful day spent at Karen Blixen Hatton Gardens ! Josephine served us, so kind and patient. A really lush green environment that really feels like a breath of fresh air. Gets you into a serene experience with incredible service from the menthol scented hand towels to start to the delicious meals (portions are definitely worth the buck!!) and just lovely garden views which are a constant joy- Enjoyed every bit ! Thank you !
