A Hidden Gem with an Unforgettable Experience! I can’t say enough about my incredible stay at Karia Pansiyon. This wasn’t just a place to sleep—it was the gateway to one of the most unforgettable adventures of my life! The owner, Emin Bey, is not only a warm and welcoming host but also a treasure trove of knowledge. His expertise as a tour guide transformed our trip into something extraordinary. He personally took us on an awe-inspiring mountain trek, guiding me through breathtaking landscapes and sharing fascinating insights about the region’s history, geology, and wildlife. Just when I thought the day couldn’t get any better, he took us to a hidden cave adorned with prehistoric paintings dating back to 8000 years ago —a surreal and humbling experience that felt like stepping back in time. The motel itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, providing the perfect place to recharge after a day of exploration. The hospitality was beyond compare, and every detail—from the comfortable rooms to the delicious local breakfast—was thoughtfully curated. If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay—if you crave adventure, history, and genuine local hospitality—this is the place for you. I left with a heart full of memories and stories I’ll cherish forever. Five stars aren’t enough for this experience! Thank you for everything.

Clean and cosy small family hostel very well located in the village with a perfect view of the lake and the village. The room was very clean and properly heated. The meals both dinner and breakfast, were spectacular prepared with local items prepared by members of the family. Highly recommended if you are around.

EDIT FOLLOWING OWNER'S RESPONSE: Just to confirm the review is about "Karia Pansiyon", run by Emin, which matches the Google listing/photos/website... === Rooms are basic but adequate (based on my research, they are probably the best in the area), expensive for what you get (70€/£60/$90) - but that’s the case everywhere in the village as it’s remote and there’s limited competition. Very good breakfast and dinner. Amazing view on the lake from the restaurant and terrace. Friendly host (but note it can be hard to communicate given our nonexistent Turkish and the host's limited English skills). Nice hikes nearby (Seven Monastery is a must - ~2h roundtrip, fairly easy although not flat, nice views on the lake and ruins), but found the ruins around the lake itself aren't great compared to the rest of Turkey. I wasn't sure what to expect at Bafa and was slightly disappointing overall: very expensive (and basic) lodging and food, and not that much to do there. May pick Dilek peninsula over this if I go back to the area (pristine beaches and hiking opportunities), and better lodging nearby.

The service at the pension was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a genuine smile. Our room was well-maintained and equipped with all the necessary comforts, and the food served during our stay was delicious. Beautiful place to stay for climbers, bird watchers, and nature lovers.
