Clean and cosy small family hostel very well located in the village with a perfect view of the lake and the village. The room was very clean and properly heated. The meals both dinner and breakfast, were spectacular prepared with local items prepared by members of the family. Highly recommended if you are around.

We always visit Karia for breakfast with friends. Lovely food and service second to none. The location is inland situated over looking bafa lake with excellent views.

EDIT FOLLOWING OWNER'S RESPONSE: Just to confirm the review is about "Karia Pansiyon", run by Emin, which matches the Google listing/photos/website... === Rooms are basic but adequate (based on my research, they are probably the best in the area), expensive for what you get (70€/£60/$90) - but that’s the case everywhere in the village as it’s remote and there’s limited competition. Very good breakfast and dinner. Amazing view on the lake from the restaurant and terrace. Friendly host (but note it can be hard to communicate given our nonexistent Turkish and the host's limited English skills). Nice hikes nearby (Seven Monastery is a must - ~2h roundtrip, fairly easy although not flat, nice views on the lake and ruins), but found the ruins around the lake itself aren't great compared to the rest of Turkey. I wasn't sure what to expect at Bafa and was slightly disappointing overall: very expensive (and basic) lodging and food, and not that much to do there. May pick Dilek peninsula over this if I go back to the area (pristine beaches and hiking opportunities), and better lodging nearby.

We always take families and friends for a Turkish breakfast and stunning views from the restaurant. Always welcome . Better to book as very popular.

The service at the pension was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a genuine smile. Our room was well-maintained and equipped with all the necessary comforts, and the food served during our stay was delicious. Beautiful place to stay for climbers, bird watchers, and nature lovers.

My wife and I were staying nearby and we were looking for somewhere to pop in and eat dinner before we attended a local wedding. The owner was very welcoming and spoke decent English which helped us a lot as our Turkish is quite límited. The view is also very nice. We had the aubergine salad, green bean salad, leaf salad, my wife had the grilled chicken and I the grilled eel (mainly out of curiosity). The aubergine was delightful, you can really taste all the wonderful smells of the aubergine cooked in a fire. Our mains were very tasty and plentiful and the prices are reasonable. When we're back in the area we'll make sure to pop back in.

We stayed for 3 nights while touring the area, and had all of our breakfasts and dinners at the pension. Breakfast was expansive, with multiple types of yogurt, cheese, bread and homemade jams, olives, tomatoes, eggs how you want them (visit the chickens to see where they come from!). The view over Lake Bafa and the ruins is wonderful from the large patio. The room is super clean and bed is fantastic! Emin and Janette are so kind and take excellent care of their guests.
