Beautiful hotel with lovely pool. Nice rooms with trendy outdoor showers and jacuzzi in bathroom. Very centrally located and inexpensive. However, in need of some loving care. Most of the Sun loungers are broken and curtains hanging off rails. Towels and bathrobes are threadbare. Only 2 of the 65 channels on the TV worked and one of those was very fuzzy.Hotel serves now F&B, not event coffee/tea.

An absolutely recommendable hotel with a fantastic location. You live in the middle of the city with access to all facilities, and at the same time the hotel has a large garden and pool which gives peace and quiet when you need it. The garden is incredibly beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of seating. The pool is large and is cleaned every morning. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the new owner is constantly refurbishing the hotel and the slightly older rooms. You will not find a better hotel in the center of Chiang Mai.

I really loved my stay at Karinthip. When I arrived, the receptionist was genuinely friendly. The room is good. The pool is amazing and sun all day. The location is perfect.

Nice place but really needs a update. I can see this place has great potential. I think it's a diamond in the rough. With a decent update and management. I would stay there every time I'm in chang mai.

We only stayed 1 night, staff was helpful, especially when they offered to send some forgotten things to our next hotel. That deserves a compliment! Rooms basic but clean and comfortable bed. The garden with pool gives it a relaxing atmosphere. Didn’t try the food/breakfast.

Just 5 minutes away from the bustling Tha Phae Gate, this small hotel, set in beautiful gardens, is a tranquil paradise. The staff ( who speak pretty good English) are very friendly, and the nice rooms have all that you need.||The Location is brilliant. Literally 5 minutes walk away from 'all the action' of shops, restaurants and the Sunday Walking Market.||Personally, I find Chiang Mai much friendlier and more compact than Bangkok, with many Tourist activities & courses to hand.||I would highly recommend the Flower Festival at the beginning of February, which is absolutely stunning.

The hotel is situated just outside the old city. However it is walking diatance to all the amenities of the old city and also the night market. In this age of globalisation, where every hotel room is the same- this place has its own character and charm. The staff are great and even light mosquito coils at night for the protection of guests.||||For me the biggest selling point is the pool set in gardens in the centre of the hotel grounds. It is so peaceful by the pool, with only the occasional distant traffic sounds reminding you that you are in one of Thailand's major cities.

Situated 5-10mins away from Tha Phae gate, away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. ||||We arrived late, around 8p or so. Being on the countryside, you know you are since theres not much people on the streets.||||The receptionist was very accomodating and we got to know that its round the clock. The hotel doesnt have any gates. Wow! ||||On our first 3 nights, we booked a family room. Such rooms are located om the first floor. Lucky for us, its just in front of the pool, which is shallow (deepest at 5ft). On the 2nd day, we booked a room for 2 and added a bed. This time, the room is located on the 2nd floor, with a 4 poster bed.||||Thus, its really quiet and calming, esp at night. However, since there are plants and trees everywhere, mosquitos are too. But luckily, every other door has their own mosquito repellent, which might be repulsive to the untrained nose. Also, they provide their own repellant lotion; smells nice too. ||||For breakfast, they also offer continental and traditional one. But i opted for a continental one, as this is familiar.||||My only complaint was that, when the water supply got busted, there was no announcement! I was about to take a shower and lo and behold, no water dripping.||||Anyhow, the stay was great. I would recommend this to my friends.
