One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Nothing looks like the photos — the place is old, dirty, and completely run-down. What shocked me the most was the clear feeling of unfair treatment. There were plenty of empty rooms, yet we were given one of the worst ones, as if we didn’t deserve better. It felt like discrimination, plain and simple. The furniture was old, the bathroom broken, the shower had almost no pressure, and the cleaning was done in less than five minutes and very poorly. The pool looked dirty, and the staff was cold and unfriendly. Overall, the whole experience was unpleasant, unfair, and disappointing. I definitely do not recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Karinthip Village was truly wonderful. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We arrived at the Chiang Mai bus terminal around 5 AM and couldn’t find a ride to the hotel. Thankfully, the hotel was very responsive—when I called, the receptionist kindly helped us book a Grab.We were also lucky to be allowed an early check-in for just 300 baht, even though the standard check-in time was 2 PM. While the hotel is a bit old, the atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, especially with many families staying there—it felt very homey. The location is another big plus—right in the Old City, it’s within walking distance of many famous landmarks. I’d definitely stay here again!

Safe quiet and extremely friendly.||We stayed here with the family and it was our first stop in Thailand and the children who were teenagers wanted their own room which we were anxious about. ||The hotel is ticked around the back of the main drag. Just a few minutes but enough to be able to have a good nights sleep||The beds were a little hard but they are everywhere in Thailand unless you want to pay 1000s||The staff were so amazing ||Nothing was any trouble||One of our showers wasn’t working and they moved us rooms with no fuss and were so apologetic. ||We had a breakfast package and when we had an early morning ing pick up they made us a gorgeous cute massive pack up. ||Honestly the sweetest people here. ||The pool was not heated but by the afternoon was warm enough for a dip. ||The hotel is tired in places but this added to its charm with its old furniture. ||We found it very clean and most importantly very safe. ||Thank you Karinthip for looking after us

First the positive things: - The hotel is placed near the centre of the city and near some of the big markets. So you can walk to everything - The staff was very nice What was not so good: - We had cold water in our room for our whole stay. We asked the hotel 2 times and they send a technician. He was very kind and wanted to help. He fixed the water for a few minutes but it went cold again after that. - The refrigerator was very loud at night so we had to turn it off every night although we had food that we wanted to cool there. - The chairs at the pool we're almost always completely reserved by towels from other customers that were not on the pool. As there are not that many it was very hard to get 2 chairs next to each other. Would be nice if the hotel would enforce a rule where it is not allowed to reserve chairs. - Not a must but would be a nice gesture: we asked at the end if we can leave our luggage at the hotel for 1 night and they refused it. The scooter rental immediately offered us this service for free. Again: not a must in any way, but it would have been some bonus points here. Overall it was a decent stay, but I would not come again unfortunately.

An absolutely recommendable hotel with a fantastic location. You live in the middle of the city with access to all facilities, and at the same time the hotel has a large garden and pool which gives peace and quiet when you need it. The garden is incredibly beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of seating. The pool is large and is cleaned every morning. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the new owner is constantly refurbishing the hotel and the slightly older rooms. You will not find a better hotel in the center of Chiang Mai.

Beautiful hotel with lovely pool. Nice rooms with trendy outdoor showers and jacuzzi in bathroom. Very centrally located and inexpensive. However, in need of some loving care. Most of the Sun loungers are broken and curtains hanging off rails. Towels and bathrobes are threadbare. Only 2 of the 65 channels on the TV worked and one of those was very fuzzy.Hotel serves now F&B, not event coffee/tea.

The hotel is situated just outside the old city. However it is walking diatance to all the amenities of the old city and also the night market. In this age of globalisation, where every hotel room is the same- this place has its own character and charm. The staff are great and even light mosquito coils at night for the protection of guests.||||For me the biggest selling point is the pool set in gardens in the centre of the hotel grounds. It is so peaceful by the pool, with only the occasional distant traffic sounds reminding you that you are in one of Thailand's major cities.
