This is a good gallery to visit if you like up and coming indie artists.

Great art always! Shows very cool artists - a few favorites recently being Nicholas Party and Alex Da Corte.

Offering visitors a great space for viewing, Karma is certainly inviting. Greeted and helped by a warm staff, you feel at ease simply stopping in without any pressure. Interesting artists are represented here as pieces are brought together from an intelligent perspective.

I visited this small intimate gallery to view the Matthew Wong exhibit. The theme was blue so the exhibit displayed his key works painted in blue. I'm not an art aficionado but I was drawn to his works because of his personal story. The blue themed paintings had intense brush strokes and depth. My favorites were actually the few paintings not painted in blue. If you are a Matthew Wong fan, you should stop by. Although the gallery is small, it is a serene, simple backdrop to the artist's intensity.

Thought it would be bigger. Limited displays. Older dude that worked was annoying. Obviously we're adults and know not to touch the glass neon displays. But other shorter dude that worked there was nice. I guess "art" isn't for everyone.

Yelp
The bookstore's great. But it's on 2nd St, just west of Ave A. Hours are till 7pm 7 days a week. This listing is for one of the galleries.

Yelp
I'm completely in love with this bookstore. It's been such a great source of special artists books, rare and lovely one of kind finds for years. Their collaboration with artist is just a wonderful thing to behold. I'm a super fan and collector of Richard Prince's work and his artist catalogs. Karma has been the source of almost my entire collection of his catalogs in addition to a bunch of limited edition, rare zines by Prince. They've also created amazing editions with Julian Schnabel and Jonas Woods, artists that I also appreciate and collect. This is a wonderful and art-souled place to spend some time, and in my case, lots of money over the years (well spent btw).

Yelp
Great art experience at Karma. The exhibition conveyed a sense of the field in the 70's and 80's and the women who were actively painting then.
