Karma Kandara

This is the best resort Karma has in Asia, located in a secluded place away from all the hot spots in town, making it ideal for a staycation. They use this resort in all marketing programs, bringing people to visit and showcasing the quality of the rooms to encourage membership sign-ups. I managed to book a one-bedroom pool villa a year in advance, as it's really hard to get a booking less than six months out. The pool and room entrance were good, but the doors and en-suite area are too old and not maintained properly. The windows don't close properly, leading to a lot of noise in the early morning that woke us up. The same complimentary breakfast was served with a couple of fresh fruits, breads, and spreads with tea and coffee. The pineapple served was rotten two days in a row, so I registered a complaint and provided feedback to the restaurant manager. During our week-long stay, the winch only worked on the last day to get to the beach. The staff were friendly, the hospitality was great, and the buggy service in the resort was good.

The Resort is stunning, we staid in one of the apartments for 4 nights. The room was nice and clean and nicely decorated. Loved the colors! Service was great, everyone was very friendly, helpful and polite. In particular a big thank you goes to buggy driver Sidi, who was great, always happy and welcoming. The only reason I did not give 5 starts is the food. We tried Di Mare and the beach club restaurant and unfortunately everything we had was very average. Small portions and not much flavour. Given the 5 starts resort and the price, we expected the food, and breakfast in particular, to be if not exceptional, at least very good. And there are no other alternatives at walking distance from the resort. We have enjoyed our holiday, but because of the food I think we won't be back at Karma.

We had an unforgettable vacation at Karma Kandara, thanks to the amazing hospitality team. They are super aware and collaborative, and take care of so many things behind the scenes to make this enormous machine run smoothly, whilst making it appear effortless. Every team member we met impressed us with their outstanding professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine warmth and friendliness, especially Ina and Ayu at reception, Gek Mas and Armini at Di Mare restaurant, and buggy drivers Eric and Bagus. The accommodation is fully air-conditioned and equipped with everything you could ask for, including comfy robes, delicious coffee, a water cooler, and a French press. Breakfast buffet is beautiful and varied, and includes Western and Asian hot entrees, fresh fruit, salad, and eggs cooked to order. While it is quite secluded, you can use Grab cab to go places or ask the resort to arrange a tour or car, but you don't really need to leave the premises, as the resort has restaurants and bars on site including an excellent Indian restaurant, a great room service menu, wine cellar plus atrium, and a gorgeous open-air spa. I recommend timing a jacuzzi session to coincide with the sunset. And the private beach is absolutely unreal.

Had a 1 week stay at a villa here and we loved it! Rooms were serviced every single day and the outdoor private pool area was cleaned at least twice a day. Friendliest staff you can find too which made us feel welcome. They have a 24 hours food service as well. If you want a relaxing, stress-free holiday, this is the place to be!

This was our second time staying at Karma Kandara in a lovely 3-bedroom villa with pool. What a treat! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Daily breakfast was satisfactory with delicious fruit and eggs to order included, but tea and coffee was luke warm instead of hot. A larger food selection on the dinner menu would be appreciated. After a week or longer stay, the food got boring, although it was tastey. The property grounds/pools were clean and well kept. The villa furniture showed wear and needs updating. Daily house cleaning service was great. The spa services (facial and massage) were fantastic! The beach is lovely and you can enjoy a beach-side lunch at the cafe on the property. Be prepared for some noise on the rooftop from the monkeys! Not disturbing, but a bit startling at times. Most of our time was spent on the property as it is a distance from town. Stop at a market to get some food or snack supplies.

An unforgettable luxury getaway! I recently stayed at Karma property, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The place truly defines luxury — peaceful surroundings, stunning design, and every comfort you could imagine. What really made the difference was the staff. Each and every person I met was polite, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Their warmth and attention to detail made me feel completely at home. If you’re looking to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a luxurious break, I can’t recommend Karma property enough. It’s a place you’ll definitely want to return to!

A very nice vacation at Karma Kandara. All villas and other amenities are neatly designed . The Karma beach and Samudra ganesh location is fantastic. The cable car us a different type of attraction here. Demare restaurent and SARANG Lodge location are very beautiful. Karma SPA is a different experience.

Karma Kandara is a beautiful resort, truly like a paradise. Everything is very clean, and the villas are spacious and stunning. The staff are amazing . So friendly, polite, and always smiling. The whole place has a great vibe, and you can feel how much the team cares about the guests.||Now, a few suggestions for improvement:| • The menu should be changed more often. I stayed for 10 days, and by the end, I already knew everything on it. The food was okay but not “wow.” It would be nice to have more traditional Balinese dishes instead of mostly Italian food (pizza and pasta). Also, the food prices are a bit high.| • The cable car to go down to the beach or up to the restaurant is very slow. Sometimes you have to wait up to 20 minutes in line, which is not pleasant after spending the whole day at the beach under the sun. I suggest adding another cable car in the future to make it faster and more comfortable.| • One thing I really didn’t like was the membership sales pressure. During the holiday, we were constantly approached about becoming members of the Karma Group. In my opinion, that’s not professional — guests come to relax, not to feel stressed or pushed to buy something. The marketing and sales approach could be more subtle and respectful, especially for a 5-star resort.||However, I want to mention Lily, who works in sales , she’s an amazing human being, very kind and professional.||Overall, we had a wonderful experience. The staff are fantastic, the place is beautiful, and with a few small improvements, Karma Kandara could be absolute perfection.
