Karmen Apartments

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Karmen apartment. It was nice being within the old city wall (without lots of steps to climb!) and the apartment was very comfortable. It was nice to look out onto the water from our kitchen table! The owner made restaurant recommendations which were excellent - and nearby Gianni's ice cream and morning coffee were delicious.

Our stay at the VANBLOEMEN apartments was outstanding. Mark was a great host and joy to talk to. The location within the city walls was ideal. Nearby restaurants, with coffee and ice cream right next-door. Accommodations were clean and worked perfectly for the three of us. I would highly recommend staying there.

An utterly delightful apartment! We stayed 3 nights, and would have enjoyed staying longer. Great location, literally a stones throw from the wall, yet very quiet at night with windows closed. Mark was a wonderful host...full of great tips and recommendations. The apartment is so homey and comfortable, with small kitchen amenities if you want to eat in. Highly recommended!

The most fantastic accommodation I have ever found in all my years of travel, and that's saying a lot! We rented a one bedroom apartment from Marc and were so happy we did. Right in the heart of Dubrovnik, within the old town walls. Really easy to find, we took the bus from the airport to Ploce Gate, walked through the arch into the old town and 5 minutes later we were at the apartment. There are fair few steps in Dubrovnik, but only one small flight of 5/6 steps to this house and we had a ground floor apartment. The apartment had everything you could possibly want and so much charm and character. Marc is charming, down to earth and genuine, and all of these characters are reflected in his apartment. It was our pleasure and privilege to meet and chat with him. We felt immediately we had a home in Dubrovnik and would love to return.

We had the best experience visiting Dubrovnik, the location of the property in the old town was fantastic. Minimal stairs to the property which is a huge plus, 5 min to swimming location and only 2 min to access the wall walk. Our room was lovely with all amenities and had a great view of the boat harbour. Big thanks to our wonderful host Marco!

Wonderful spot in a great location. Marc was a great host, meeting us near the city gates and walking with us to his place, giving us a mini-tour along the way, and a personal history as well. Dubrovnik is much nicer in the early in late hours of the day when the cruise people have gone back to their boats, and staying in the Old Town enables you to have a much richer experience.

We could not have been happier with our choice of the Karmen Apartments in Dubrovnik! Situated on a quiet street in the old city, near the sea and the city walls and within walking distance of all the city’s attractions and restaurants, you cannot beat it. The apartment was clean and with every convenience. We highly recommend it.

Authentic, clean and very well situated apartment in a quiet street in the old town. Host very helpful and informative. Close to the old port and all main sights in Dubrovnik. Well equipped and with aircon WiFi. Comfortable double although the third single bed perhaps more suited for child rather than adult. Would definitely come back.
