Karmen Apartments

The most fantastic accommodation I have ever found in all my years of travel, and that's saying a lot! We rented a one bedroom apartment from Marc and were so happy we did. Right in the heart of Dubrovnik, within the old town walls. Really easy to find, we took the bus from the airport to Ploce Gate, walked through the arch into the old town and 5 minutes later we were at the apartment. There are fair few steps in Dubrovnik, but only one small flight of 5/6 steps to this house and we had a ground floor apartment. The apartment had everything you could possibly want and so much charm and character. Marc is charming, down to earth and genuine, and all of these characters are reflected in his apartment. It was our pleasure and privilege to meet and chat with him. We felt immediately we had a home in Dubrovnik and would love to return.

Wonderful apartments. Marc, the host, has good tips about where to go, swimming, food. He has beach towels, an espresso maker, slippers for those who always forget them - everything you didn't think you'd need. His son runs the excellent gelato and coffee stand right below, Gianni's. Dubrovnik is a dreamland and the Karmen Apartments are the best to lay your head. Giant selections of books in our apartment, too.

Such a comfortable, clean, and convenient home away from home! Host Marc could not have been more helpful and friendly. The apartments are small but have all the comforts and amenities you need. We loved being in the middle of the bay and boat action, with lots of restaurants close by. Great value. Great service.

This apartment was in a sweet location within the old town walls. We loved watching the people "walk the wall" from our dining table window! It had everything we needed, even beach towels. It was super comfortable with lovely art as well. I highly recommend staying here!

Marc was a responsive and gracious host. Our apartment was perfect for 2 friends traveling together for the first time in Croatia. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and the kitchen stocked with everything we needed. And the location was amazing, so close to the wall surrounding the city, restaurants and shops. And the best part of the location was the Gelato / coffee shop, Gianni that was located right outside the entrance. We visited at least twice each day we were staying at the Karmen apartments.

Great location, charming host and very comfortable apartment, a wonderful place to see the best of Dubrovnik. Kitchen was well equipped for preparing breakfast and lunch and the small study with single bed was ideal for quiet reflection.
