Fabulous hotel with lots of antique character /atmosphere in an excellent location near St Stephens Square. Easy access to the metro. Great breakfast. Comfortable beds. Highly recommended. We spent five nights including NYE, and we would definitely stay again.

Stayed 2 nights at the Karntnerhof hotel. It’s a very comfortable hotel in the heart of Vienna a few minutes away of the main touristic attractions, the staff is super friendly. The hotel is very calm and quiet. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I will stay there again if I come back to Vienna.

Perfect location in the historic center. You can walk to all of the major sights with 15 minutes and there are many cafes and restaurants close the hotel. ||The staff at the hotel is excellent and many have worked there for years— a positive sign. A special thank you to the breakfast staff who work hard to keep the buffet stocked with hot items and the dining room clean.||Good value for the location and quality of the accommodation.

I definitely recommend this Hotel. The Hotel is well maintained inside and outside. The staff are nice. It’s only 3 minutes walk to St Stephens Cathedral. Many shops and restaurants nearby.Very clean, quiet and spacious.My first time to travel inVienna, Austria I will definitely comeback and stay here again.

We stayed at the Karntnerhof for 3 nights in October of 2024. We wanted to be close to the city center and were not disappointed. The big surprise was how helpful the hotel staff were - probably the best we've ever received. The hotel is older and shows many signs of wear, but everything was clean, the breakfast was good, the beds were comfortable, and the cost was reasonable for such a central location. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

I recently stayed at the Christiane Hörbiger Suite for four nights in early September 2024, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. The hotel was immaculate – from the lobby to the rooms, everything was spotlessly clean. The housekeeping staff clearly take great pride in their work.||The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The location of the hotel is perfect, centrally located with easy access to all the key attractions in Vienna. Whether you're a tourist or there on business, you’ll appreciate how close everything is.||A special mention goes to their exceptional customer service. I accidentally left three shirts in the room cupboard after checking out. I contacted the hotel and they arranged for the shirts to be sent to my home in Finland free of charge! This level of attention and care really sets them apart.||I will definitely be staying at the hotel again the next time I’m in Vienna. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and stress-free stay in this beautiful city!||Thank you for the wonderful experience!

What an amazing find in the heart of Vienna Austria. . A boutique hotel with location location and excellent good old fashion service. The hotel and its staff members ooze personality. Unlike chain hotels you feel valued and appreciated and no request is too much trouble for any of the staff members. The communication from start to finish from the hotel concierge was exact and in fact I would go as far as to say better than ever expected in todays digital world and that’s because you are dealing with faces and humans and not computers and robots at Hotel Karntenhorf. The breakfast was simply amazing, the ladies cook all of the bread and treats and to say it’s world class is most definite (not extensive) but absolute quality all served with smiles. The breakfast ladies were so welcoming and generous. My room was for a 1 person traveller and it was the perfect size enough space for 2 large suitcases and me and a lovely chair, desk etc. the room was spotlessly clean and well maintained on a daily basis. The hotel is beautiful in its old world charm decoration and the lift is to say the least beautiful old world. Overall 6 stars for Hotel Karntenhof and its staff members , I can’t speak more highly of the hotel and I would now say probably the best European hotel I have ever stayed in.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the hotel and it's always a pleasure to be back. I love the central location, it's quiet, friendly staff, basic but good breakfast buffet, nice rooms. Not the newest hotel and there is not kettle etc in the room. Can't beat the location. The lift is very small and slow, perhaps part of its charm. Highly recommended if you want an affordable, central, quiet and "basic" hotel in Vienna.

Location is amazing. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was nice, they even let me have an early breakfast. Check in was no problem, staff was helpful. Wi-Fi worked well. TV has channels from many countries. There is no AC but a nice breeze came form the window. Hotel decor was nice. Room was decent size. I guess only downside was restroom and bathroom were two different rooms, but not a big deal.
