Karon Viewpoint

We visited Karon Viewpoint on 1st October as part of a city sightseeing tour with our family (2 adults and 2 kids). It was one of the most scenic stops on our trip. From the top, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Phuket’s famous beaches — Patong, Karon, and Kata — lined up beautifully along the coastline. On the opposite side, you can also spot the majestic Big Buddha sitting atop Nakkerd Hill, which makes the view even more impressive. Historically known as *Three Beaches Hill* or *Kata Viewpoint*, this spot has long been a popular stop for both locals and tourists to admire Phuket’s natural beauty. It’s an important landmark because it perfectly captures the island’s charm — the mix of green hills, turquoise waters, and golden beaches in one frame. The place is well maintained, with viewing platforms and shaded areas to relax and take photos. Our kids loved the open space and the fresh breeze at the top. Overall, Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the best of Phuket’s landscape and enjoy a bit of peace away from the busy beaches.

It's a viewpoint that is well built. You can see the beach from here. The wind is strong up here. I didn't see any snack or drink seller here. It's a nice place to hang out and just watch the distance. I find it very tranquil here. It's a free entry view point. No ticket needed.

The view from Karon View Point is just stunning—you can see three beaches all lined up like a painting. 🌊✨ But my trip turned into a little adventure 😅… my motorbike decided not to start right when it began raining (classic timing, hhhh). The best part? So many Thai people stopped to help me, with big smiles, even though I didn’t ask. That moment really showed me how kind and helpful people are here. Came for the view, left with a story to remember! 🌴💙

Breath taking sunset.....so so marvellous and beautiful. Do visit this place 30 minutes before sunset to get a good spot on the viewpoint. Overall have a lot of space to sit around and take photos too.

The viewpoint offers excellent panoramic views of the southern beaches of Phuket. However, it's not particularly awe-inspiring. Including this visit in your itinerary would likely be worthwhile if you have extra time.

I got there at about 1030 and I just one of four people there by 11 o’clock six tour buses had pulled up and the place was packed and not so much fun. There was a very cute guy playing the the guitar which added to the atmosphere and there was a woman sitting out front with I believe two eagles that you could pose with… I’m afraid of birds so did not do that
