Karula Hotel

It a great place and as a true South African will say its in the bush. There is a lot of trees and bushes around. I only spent a single night at this place and it was for work purposes. There is a bar on the premises and the owner is very welcoming. The supper is ok for a home cooked meals many courses like fish, lamb, dessert and chicken. Great wifi and rooms have Air conditioning.

No better place to stay while en route to the Kruger or while touring White River and the surrounding areas. Tom, Chandy and the rest of the friendly staff always take such good care of us. I challenge you to find a better 5 course dinner menu anywhere else.

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff were lovely. The food was great and plentiful. The bedroom was comfortable and roomy. Tom the owner was very helpful in sourcing me some medication. For Kruger it was a perfect location. I’d stay there again.

This is and has been, for the past 20 plus years, our first stop on the way to the Kruger Park.||Tom and Chandy are amazing hosts! ||Part of our continued support is due to the friendly, welcoming and attentive nature of everyone at the hotel. Florina our waitress was amazing in the dining room and so friendly too. We couldnt believe how she could remember 11 completely different orders for both dinner and breakfast (without writing anything down) with each meal arriving exactly as ordered!! She really is something special!||With Covid now seemingly behind us, please support these small hotels and the local staff that they employ as it really does make a difference!!! The amazing staff really will make your experience of the hotel and the area an amazing one! ||We can't wait for our next stay here on the way to the Kruger National Park!

The hotel is in great shape. Rooms are very comfy and the bathrooms have new tiles and classy fittings. Food was delicious. Spent two evenings with friends in the bar. Service and atmosphere is superb. The staff and team at the hotel are amazing. Great stay!

Pool, table tennis, outstanding breakfast and dinner and fantastic service. The bar area is a great space to relax. Rooms are comfortable with aircon. This is a home away from home and a great spot to stop before the Kruger park.

Great value for the price. Love the wheelchair friendly ramps instead of stairs. Rooms are very basic but spacious. Did not like the plastic mattress cover. A reason to return is definitely the 8 course dining experience. Breakfast could do with a cheese and scones section.
