Kasbah Museum

My visit to the Kasbah Museum was incredible. The museum is housed in a historic palace with stunning architecture, beautifully preserved rooms, and intricate details that reflect Moroccan heritage. Inside, the exhibits showcase traditional art, ceramics, jewelry, and historical artifacts that provide a deep insight into the city’s rich history. Walking through the courtyards and terraces offers breathtaking views over Tangier and the ocean. The staff were welcoming and informative, enhancing the overall experience. Not huge, but this museum’s a proper little gem; beautiful old building with a lovely backyard garden that’s super captivating and full of Instagram-worthy spots. Really worth popping in when you’re in Tangier… entry’s only MAD 30, and you get gorgeous views over the port too. Don’t miss it!

Great building with 2 sections: one with artifacts from neolithic times onward and another with a fabulous exhibit of contemporary artworks (2015) from every African country, envisioning the future. The artists themselves explain their works in a video. Great location in the kasbah, with walls overlooking the Mediterranean and the port.

Beautiful historic place, well presented chronologically. The garden is pleasant with many plants, however, signs with the plant and tree names would have been useful, it's a shame there weren't any. Visited in early Sept and there was no café nor shop to be seen.

Worth a visit if you are in Tangier. Consists of two museums and highlights Moroccan history and especially that of Tangier.

Very beautiful, good historical background, very well-organized, and you can enter both museums (Kasbah and Contemporary) with the same ticket.
