The thing i love about Japanese food is the intent that goes into everything that's made and presented. This Michelin star restaurant takes that to another level and offers a subtle experience with every course. Whilst the menu is not cheap, it is well worth it on a special occasion.

2 Michelin * Japanese restaurant. Excellent food – everything tastes delicate / sophisticated. Definitely Top 3 Japanese restaurant in HK. The best part is the sushi – one of the freshest I have experienced. But every other dish also deserves a 5* rating. Dishes are beautifully presented / like an artwork. Expensive / special occasion place.

This restaurant is situated in a small scale building in the heart of Central, it could feel a bit confined inside but in Hong Kong this is not unusual. Decor is neat yet minimal. If you are placed in bar counter and some cleaning is taking place, the popping sound of the basin would become your live performance. On to food, I must say the technique is quite brilliant as some dishes cannot be easily made. However the whole meal lacks the punching point which leave me a strong impression. Having this said, I believe this place is worth a revisit.

The hot dishes and dessert are fine but the sashimi is just so so. Regarding the service, I will say that it doesn't meet the standard of a high-end restaurant. When I did reservation via email, I told them no beef for my girlfriend and they acknowledged. When we arrived the restaurant, they asked us again if any kind of food we don't want. We told then again. Unfortunately, they still served the beef to my girlfriend. Therefore, it is a bit disappointed on their service.....

Very special dining experience for the waiter to hold a fish tank and tell you that they will fry those small ayu fishes 😆 wagyu and sashimi are my favourite dishes , other are fresh with nice presentations too. Helpful waiter explains every meaning and ingredient behind the dish - the focus of the night is on 男儿节.

The preset lunch was great and service was excellent. The presentation of each dish was lovely and the quality of ingredients was very good. Would definitely consider trying their dinner offerings next time I am in town.

Very good from start to finish, with some especially impressive presentation moments and some well-handled seasonal ingredients (and staples eg wagyu). The space and service didn’t quite match the reputation (or the price) but overall, a very nice experience.
