Visited from Colorado for a wedding , Stayed at the kaslo hotel for 2 nights . the hotel itself is quaint and in a central location to all amenities in this adorable town. Comfortable rooms with old world charm and history. Staff was able to extremely accommodating and friendly. We frequented the hotels restaurant for 4 of our meals and every plate was delicious. Cocktails were made with precision and equally tasty. Lex, our server for 3 out of 4 visits, was impeccable. From remembering our detailed drink orders of previous nights, to recommendations of gluten free options, knowledge of the town and surroundings and answering our never ending questions , we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will be returning very soon!

We had an excellent experience at the Kaslo Hotel. Our room was huge, well-appointed, had large windows that we could open for fresh air, was very clean, quiet, and felt like a holiday ‘home.’ One unusual little touch I enjoyed was a comfy hand-made rocking chair with wide, thick leather rungs. It was unique and soothing to listen to the saddle leather creak as I rocked and read my book. The bathroom was clean and spacious and we were very happily surprised to find a giant bathtub, which we loved. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on! What a lovely treat that was. We had a big deck - not a balcony - a deck with table and chairs, which overlooked a spectacular, ever-changing view of the lake and mountains. It was absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the pub/restaurant downstairs. Everything we ate there was delicious. Kaslo Hotel’s location was perfect for us. All necessary amenities and shops were literally minutes away by foot. We were able to explore everywhere we wanted to go by walking. The hotel and restaurant staff members were friendly and helpful, they made us feel welcomed. Overall, our stay was delightful. We can hardly wait to return to Kaslo and stay at the Kaslo Hotel again. We will recommend it to family and friends as a wonderful place to stay.

Had the lunch special and will never touch it again. Some chicken Mango panini that was basically white bread with microwave chicken, Mango jam and plastic cheese all grilled. That was 1 out of 5 stars but everything else the table ordered was amazing. The fries, the kids menu was cheap and huge portions, the chicken burger was the best one I've seen in a long time. I can't wait to go back and try something off the regular menu but I'll avoid the lunch special. So overall, for great pricing and amazing views and service, I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful views!!! Amazing rooms! Hot tub could use a little love 💟 and maybe a little info upon checking in about small things like needing the key card to get the elevator to work at all hours, front door locking and how to get in and out after front desk hours. Other then these small details it was a great visit.

This is a cool, quaint historical hotel, with great downtown location. It has been upgraded with modern touches, which is nice. All the rooms have balconies, which was nice to sit out on for morning coffee. We did not use the hot tub, as we had gone to 2 area hotsprings on the trip. Biggest complaint is the beds/pillows weren't very comfortable.

I stayed here a few years ago, and was great, that's all I got for the hotel, sorry. Now the restaurant is another matter. We often go for dinner here and Tonight was the first in a while, the service was attentive and friendly as usual. The food was Outstanding, The son was very satisfied with the crispy Bird sandwich, The wife was very impressed with the chicken chorizo Alfredo, The mother-in-law's husband had steak and fries. All said it was great. My mother in law had a house salad and beef dip, she is celiac, the restaurant was very attentive to her needs and it was also fantastic. Now, I had the 2 piece halibut and fries, I have no issues declaring this as some of the best fish & Chips I have had, crispy light batter and still moist fish!! And I have sampled many. Very good food and experience. Especially when you can hear the bartender shaking real drinks in the background.

We spent 3 great nights at the Kaslo Hotel and enjoyed every minute of it. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The location with great views of the lake from our room as well sitting on the great balcony made the stay so enjoyable. The restaurant also served great food!

Yelp
Just ate one of the best beef dips I've ever had! This restaurant has great ambiance and a great outdoor patio over looking the lake. They have a lot of beers on tap and friendly staff. My partner got a burger and loved it too. The beef dip is served on a rosemary bread, which I loved, but you have to like rosemary! I will definitely be back next time we are up that way.

Yelp
Wonderful (but expensive) accommodations! The best staff ever - so friendly and helpful. We were on a bicycle tour of the Selkirk Loop, and very much enjoyed our stay!

Yelp
Amazing burgers and fries. Oh that gravy!!! We came here on a busy Sunday night and were told that it would be around 45 minutes before we got our food. Right away I was impressed seeing the front of house staff working quickly and efficiently to serve all of the patrons for dinner. This is currently the only place in Kaslo for meals after 6pm. Wow did they ever impress. Excellent service and excellent food! Good job and keep up the good work, we look forward to eating here again on our next visit to Kaslo.

Yelp
We've stayed here many times, the hotel is fantastic. Again we were fortunate enough to get a Lakeview, what else can I say! To wake up to this kind of beauty is amazing. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The food is delicious, everything we had from muscles and clams, salads, wine and beer over a couple days has been great We came anyway, even though the jazz festival was canceled, and we were not sorry!!

Yelp
Horrible service!!!! We came in as a group of 6 and there was almost something wrong with every order. 2 of us got the teriyaki shrimp dish which says it comes on rice in the menu but instead it was put on noodles, I ordered a glass of chocolate milk and it wasn't even stirred like at all the chocolate was at the bottom of the glass. My boyfriend asked for fries and he got diced potatoes. Not to mention we waited for an hour for our food and then it was complete crap

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel. I had the calamari appetizer and the red snapper main course. I seldom eat fried things, but the calamari was really good, hot, and served with a wasabi sauce that was delicious. The grilled red snapper tasted fresh and the portion was generous, but was doused in a dill white sauce. With a heavy sauce, less is more... I recommend ordering the snapper with just a dill garnish and the wasabi dipping sauce on the side. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly with a stupendous view of the lake.

Yelp
We did not stay at the hotel but came for dinner. The special was Lamb burger with Greek salad, we shared that along with a bowl of Cream of Mushroom soup. Everything we had was excellent!!

Yelp
Probably the worst meal I have ever had. We were a group of 15 and everyone's meals were bad! I ordered short ribs that were so dry I couldn't eat them. When the chef asked about our food and I told him he walked a way in a huff! Apparently the chef made a comment to the owner that we wanted a discount on our bill. What a joke. Now I understand what all the locals have been saying. "Don't go here" Won't be bringing any of my friends here when I visit next time. Have to say the service was good. I felt sorry for our server having to serve such bad food!

Yelp
We didn't stay here but went here for supper. Wow! How can such a little town have such an amazing chef and bartender in the same place! We were a group of 6. It's not busy season there now so the place was quiet. 3 other tables in the pub part. Their beer menu was great! I had a very very good margarita, bang on perfect! Both times. No shortage of alcohol in them. The food was great! We all gave our order no appies as we were starving. One person got his soup to start his meal. I had to try it. One word. Amazing!!! I ordered my own soup to start as did the other couple with us. It was a tomato soup, but not plain by any means, it was great! Then our meals come. Wow! We all tried each others meals and they were all great and hot. Our server was great, he told us about the area, and the soup recipe from the chef!! I highly recommend this place. Lots of windows so the view of the lake is amazing. Huge outdoor patio. Go! If you're ever in Kaslo its a must!
