Amazing view over Freiburg! The food was just okay, not the highlight, but the setting makes up for it. Walking up the hill feels totally worth it once you sit down with a cold beer and take in the scenery. A great spot to relax, especially on a sunny evening. Definitely come here more for the atmosphere and the view than for the food.

Spent two days in Freiburg with friends. The beer was really great, the food not so much. I ordered a tarte flambée and it was just as good as a frozen one made at home. The view was great though. We‘ll definetly go back there again, but just for drinks.

Easily the best located of Freiburg’s three beer gardens. Amazing views and great beer. Self service. Go for the views and the beer: Skip the food, which isn’t that good. Accessible via lift or walking up the hill.

We ♡ it ! Friendly/welcoming service, amazing view over Freiburg. Despite little rain/wind it was definitly worth a visit. We are looking for to come back to enjoy the mouthwatering food too next time !

This location is literally the best one if you are looking for somewhere to eat local food with a fantastic view. We tried literally everything from the menu, and nothing disappointed us, from the schnitzel to the brezels with the cheese cream. The guys in the kitchen were really friendly and willing to help us even when we came in speaking with a mix of english and german. We really had a good time. The only flaw was that the fries were a little too salty.

A great Beer Garten, with an amazing ambiance, great views over the city, and lots of beer! There is an extensive menu of beer, I had a shandy; a mixture of beer and Sprite, very refreshing in the heat.

Great view, good beer. Food not good. Bunch of kids working in kitchen who really don't seem to care about the food they are putting out. Worst food I've had so far in Germany.
