Kasteel van Laarne

The castle is beautiful to see from the outside. Inside, only the first room is nice for learning a bit about its history. Then I was very disappointed to find contemporary art paintings that have nothing to do with the place, it just didn’t make sense. I paid for the ticket, but there was no service for deaf visitors (only audio), and there were no videos in sign language, so I am not satisfied.

If you happen to be near this place as you travel through Belgium you need to pull over and visit this gorgeous castle. (Check their hours first). It’s absolutely stunning and worth the visit. Great furnishings and historic descriptions. We’ve seen a lot of castles and we’re so happy we visited this place.

Definitely worth visiting! The tablet guide is beautifully designed in the style of a wooden book, making the experience even more engaging. Highly recommended.

Very cool little castle not too far off the main highway surrounded by a very cool Belgium town. If you are passing through to go to Gent it’s worth a stop to get taken back in time

Very nice castle to visit. Original from 1300's. Later extended / rebuild in 1600's. Nice buildings with interiors and an extensive silverware collection.

A beautiful castle that is worth a visit. They organise some special events that might require you to make a booking, but even without all the extras, it's a beautiful building.
