Kasteel van Ooidonk

We went on a Wednesday in November for the outside walk around the moat and castle. Beautiful with the autumn colours 😍 . We heard that some rooms of the castle were rented out as airbnb so we're looking forward to trying that out soon too. Check their website for opening hours as it's not always very regular, same with visits of the actual castle (they mostly take place Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from what we saw...).

Very beautiful castle, worth the trip. Also when only the garden is open for public (€4 ticket). The castle cannot be seen from the road, so recommended to pay and enter the garden. Outside regular open hours also possible to book guided tours for a group.

Stayed in the Castle as an Air B&B.... it was Exceptional!!! This is the real deal Castle...beautiful, beautiful gardens & tour of the Castle showed the rich history of this family & their preservation of History! My favorite place of a 3 week 6 country tour! Right outside Ghent, Belgium

Kasteel van Ooidonk is a gorgeous estate and worth the visit. A beautifully underrated castle that provides a walking path around the moat that provides amazing views of both the architecture and garden. Parking can be found outside the gate or back down the road nearby the soccer field. It cost €3 per adult to walk the property and the path takes approximately 30 minutes to complete (stopping to take pictures included). Highly recommend this unique and magnificent location for your trip!
