We found this hotel to be great. After reading some reviews before we arrived we were concerned that it would be sub standard, but we couldn't be more wrong. Yes, there are stairs with no lift but the hotel is quite honest on this subject and there's is very little they can do to address this issue in a small, old building. |Our room had wonderful views over the harbour and was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was quite small but had all the amenities you could ask for.|Breakfast started at 7am but on the first morning of our stay we had an early start for a pre-arranged trip and so the hotel kindly opened the dining room at 6.30am for us.|Breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold food and drinks.|We found the reception staff to be helpful and friendly.|The location of the hotel couldn't be better. Close to the ferry port and right in the centre of the old town. |Overall a really enjoyable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Wonderful position, staff very kind. The room was clean, although in downtown there was not so much noise. Recommended for a nice stay at Split.

Thought we had booked a Boutique Hotel. Cost was not cheap:$267.||||Arrived to find out we had booked the Annex, which by definition is next to, which was at least 200 yards , 2 streets over, from the main building. It was a room in an apartment building, 2 floors up, no elevator. ||||The room was satisfactory, but heard the tenant upstairs clomping around. Fortunately they had someone bring our bags up to our room.||||Breakfast was pitiful: cold fried eggs, undercooked bacon, watery orange juice and a minimal cereal bar.||||This is far from a Boutique Hotel, ranks right up there with Hotel 6.||||Will attempt to get refund from my Credit Card Company or Booking.com as this hotel was falsely advertised and should have not been offered on their web site.

Perfect location to explore old town. No elevator but staff assisted with luggage. Check in/out was fast and friendly and room was clean and comfortable.

The first thing to know about our room can NOT be ignored -- we had to walk up three flights of steep stairs to get to it. After a full day of enjoying our time in Split, this is NOT how we would want to end the day. Also, it is NOT fun to go up & down these stairs to pick up something we forgot to grab on the way out. If you have any kind of problem about going up steep stairs, I'd recommend avoiding our room.||HOWEVER, this place is located near the harbor, the main bus station, old city, and typical pickup points for tours. Also, there are innumerable shops, restaurants, ATMs, and even a grocery store nearby. If location is important, this place would be hard to top.|Our room had shower, AC, in-room safe, coffee-maker, iron & board (small), mini-fridge, free wifi, and TV with scores of choices. It was clean, well-maintained, and quiet. Staff was willing & able to take our suitcases up & down the stairs, an example of their willingness to make our stay pleasant. |If you reserve directly with the hotel, and pay in cash, you can get a 10% discount.||If you can overlook the steep & long staircase to get to your room, this place is good value for this city.

The room was described as a annexe king superior, one part of this was sort of correct. The annexe part was 3 streets away, not a king and not superior. We were required to climb 3 sets of stairs to get to our room(with heavy bags and we are in our 60s). The room was small mostly taken up with an uncomfortable bed. The bath/shower had no shower curtain, so water went everywhere and had a disgusting rubber non slip matt, complete with mould. The staff were lovely and breakfast was adequate. The location was good and near the waterfront( once you got over the stairs) 🤪

Lovely older but renovated hotel in the old city, next to Diocletian's Palace. Great service, small but workable room. Clean and comfortable. There are steps to the small lobby area. We heard the breakfast offered was good but did not eat breakfast there. Staff members were good. Parking is available but it's a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Not free but better prices than closer parking options. Hotel is in a terrific location an easy walk from everything. We reserved a "sea view" room and it was barely that (visible through a small window) but that was not important as the sea and the Riva (promenade) were just outside the hotel doors. Beds were comfortable, shower was great in the small bathroom.

Good hotel very centrally located for the old town and the waterfront and harbour. ||We stayed for two nights in a room on the second floor at the front of the hotel. Room had everything we needed and was clean and well presented. ||The hotel is part of the old town walls and so does not have lift - if you have mobility issues the. Would not recommend it. ||Apart from that we had a very nice stay before we boarded our sailing trip.
