5- stars all around! We stayed here twice over the course of a 12- day trip (with a cruise in the middle). The first stay was a small apartment in the main building. Very clean with great views of the square.||The 2nd stay was a deluxe apartment in the annex. Easily sleeps 4 people with a nice bathroom and full kitchen. Both stays had AC, private en suites and an honor "mini bar."||The staff was super friendly and accommodating. ||Word of caution. This hotel is inside the Diocletian Palace walls. There are NO elevators in a 4th century palace! Even the check in desk requires a walk up a flight of stairs. Your room may be 2 flights up or 3! They have staff who will help you, but when we left to catch an airport shuttle at 5am, we had to bring it down ourselves... thank goodness we had carry-ons! This will be our go to hotel in Split in the future||

Absolutely 1st class hotel: everything you need. Location fantastic. Staff wonderful. Allowed me to check in early, room was ready. Reception lady showed me to my room and explained bits. Really helpful. Great value for money. 5 mins walk from bus/train station- easy to find. Tea/coffee:fridge/mini bar 👍would I book again ? 👍 YES highly recommend..

We stayed here twice in a 2 week stint after our first hotel was a bust. Both times, the staff was warm and welcoming and really helped us out of a pinch in the beginning of our vacation. Directly in the midst of the Diocletian Palace, we stayed in both the main hotel and the annex. The rooms were different in nature (small apartment vs 4- person apartment) but the amenities were clean and comfortable with views of the squares. The location of the main hotel is a bit hidden, but the directions on their website made it easy to find. Their staff is friendly They'll even arrange a shuttle driver for a fee to take you to the airport if you have an early flight before the airport shuttle is in operation. This is inside the Palace walls, so don't expect an elevator. You will have to walk flights of stairs at a minimum to get to the front desk. This is going to be our go to hotel in Split in the future!

We stayed in annex room 3. It was larger than 1 or 2 and had beds for 4. Modern bath. It was up 8 flights of stairs. Fair price and central in the old town.

We found this hotel to be great. After reading some reviews before we arrived we were concerned that it would be sub standard, but we couldn't be more wrong. Yes, there are stairs with no lift but the hotel is quite honest on this subject and there's is very little they can do to address this issue in a small, old building. |Our room had wonderful views over the harbour and was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was quite small but had all the amenities you could ask for.|Breakfast started at 7am but on the first morning of our stay we had an early start for a pre-arranged trip and so the hotel kindly opened the dining room at 6.30am for us.|Breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold food and drinks.|We found the reception staff to be helpful and friendly.|The location of the hotel couldn't be better. Close to the ferry port and right in the centre of the old town. |Overall a really enjoyable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The first thing to know about our room can NOT be ignored -- we had to walk up three flights of steep stairs to get to it. After a full day of enjoying our time in Split, this is NOT how we would want to end the day. Also, it is NOT fun to go up & down these stairs to pick up something we forgot to grab on the way out. If you have any kind of problem about going up steep stairs, I'd recommend avoiding our room.||HOWEVER, this place is located near the harbor, the main bus station, old city, and typical pickup points for tours. Also, there are innumerable shops, restaurants, ATMs, and even a grocery store nearby. If location is important, this place would be hard to top.|Our room had shower, AC, in-room safe, coffee-maker, iron & board (small), mini-fridge, free wifi, and TV with scores of choices. It was clean, well-maintained, and quiet. Staff was willing & able to take our suitcases up & down the stairs, an example of their willingness to make our stay pleasant. |If you reserve directly with the hotel, and pay in cash, you can get a 10% discount.||If you can overlook the steep & long staircase to get to your room, this place is good value for this city.

Great hotel and prime location. Be sure to request a lower floor of stairs are an issue, there is no elevator.

Lovely older but renovated hotel in the old city, next to Diocletian's Palace. Great service, small but workable room. Clean and comfortable. There are steps to the small lobby area. We heard the breakfast offered was good but did not eat breakfast there. Staff members were good. Parking is available but it's a 20 minute walk from the hotel. Not free but better prices than closer parking options. Hotel is in a terrific location an easy walk from everything. We reserved a "sea view" room and it was barely that (visible through a small window) but that was not important as the sea and the Riva (promenade) were just outside the hotel doors. Beds were comfortable, shower was great in the small bathroom.
