I traveled from the US to Hanover on business to attend a conference and unfortunately fell quite ill during my stay. What could have been a truly miserable experience was completely transformed by the extraordinary care and service provided by the staff at Kastens Hotel Luisenhof.||From the moment I informed them I wasn’t feeling well, the staff went above and beyond in every possible way. They helped me find a doctor, arranged transportation, and ensured I had everything I needed to rest and recover comfortably in my room. They even went so far as to pick up my medication from the pharmacy—something I never expected but deeply appreciated.||Room service was prompt and considerate, and every interaction with the staff felt genuine and caring. In a foreign country, far from home and under the weather, they made me feel supported, safe, and cared for.||I can’t recommend this hotel enough—not just for its elegance and location, but for the kindness and humanity of the people who work there. They truly made the best out of a very bad situation, and I am so grateful.

Very good located hotel in the middle of the city. We stopped here just for one night on our way to southern Germany. Hotel definitely feels like a 5 star hotel. Room and amenities were all very nice and the breakfast as you can expect for a 5 star hotel. The bar staff was very friendly and the food was very good and surprisingly good prices considering that it is a hotel. Just like someone else mentioned in the comments I would have expected a friendlier reception when arriving. It was very standard and the staff didn’t even make an effort to smile or sound friendly. It is not a big thing and did not influence our stay, however since someone else had a similar experience a few weeks ago I would just advise the hotel to work on welcoming the guests. First impressions last.

We were traveling with our dog and received really good service from the hotel's restaurant. The Wiener schnitzel they served was absolutely amazing, I've never had such good schnitzel before. It was also nice to meet and talk with the Hotel Manager. He is a very pleasant gentleman.

On a business trip, I requested a late check out. I was allowed to stay until 1pm. If I arrived later than 1pm, I was told I would have a Eur150 penalty which I agreed. So I left my luggage and medicines and personal items in the room. Having had a stroke a month ago, I needed medication prior to boarding a plane. |I arrived at the hotel at 1:30 thinking that o was going to be charged EuR150.|To my surprise, the card keys did not open the door I thought because of the 30 min late arrival. |I was even more surprised when I found out that, without my permission, my luggage and medicines and personal items have been removed from the room and I was checked out without any notice! |Never have I been treated with so much disrespect! I was not able to get the medicine which was an injection!!! And the receptionist Marcelo and others did not care, did not apologize and just followed the “rules of the management”. |As I got to London later , I found out that the money that I had left in one pocket of my backpack was no longer there! |I decided not to complain to the hotel in writing as, most probably, I would be ignored by management.|The hotel is average, the service is below standards and disrespect a common practice. I stay at the hotel with business colleagues regularly but this was the last time as the hotel is not a trustworthy place !

The Hotel is pleasant enough, very clean, quiet for a city center location and the day time staff were polite. I didn't eat at the restaurant so cannot comment but it looked very quiet most evenings. |Parking is tight although free of charge to residents. The entrance to the carpark can be a frustrating ordeal as the road is very narrow to negotiate. Today wide electric cars would really struggle to gain entrance. I did have to reverse in a narrow lane to let someone out after going past the barriers. |The biggest disappointment was being charged twice on 2 accounts for the same stay. I have an account with our travel agency and the hotel. One account was used to pre pay the hotel in full the 2nd was the account i paid for 1 drink from the mini bar on check out. The hotel took it upon itself to charge 2 accounts for the full amount of the stay. Although the Hotel was called and emailed and were specifically told not to do so. Charging both accounts for the stay and taking monies without consent is imo dishonest has another description under the law. |As this was done so flippantly without any response until a week after the stay with an apology. I would warn anyone thinking of using this hotel that this has a possible risk of being a frequent occurrence. |My account was refunded days later but should never of happened. It took a direct instruction from the Travel agency before the monies were refunded to my account.

Location is excellent. Staff are friendly. However, price is high. Espresso machine should be put in the room. Old Coffee/tea machines do not meet the need any more. They have given me a fruit/sweet plate on my birth day. Thank you for the nice gesture.

Yelp
Excellent location and wonderful services! We stayed at Kastens during our first stay at Hannover, and this hotel was highly regarded locally. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here tremendously. The hotel was within 5 minutes of walking from the major train station. There were many restaurants, supermarkets, and shopping areas around. The area felt lively and safe throughout the day. We booked a deluxe room, and it had a comfortable king-sized bed, generous closet space, balconies, sitting area, and a nice sized bathroom. As for the amenities, the hotel offered a small sized gym with basic cardio equipment and free weights. There was also a separate spa area with sauna, steam room, foot baths, and relaxation room. The sauna area was only operational from 5 pm to 10 pm, but guests could request the sauna/steam rooms to be turned on during the day. As for the service, the staff was very polite and attentive. The cleaning service was thorough and quick. The manager came to check in with us to see if we needed anything. The hotel also offered a breakfast buffet for 32 euros per person, and it offered a good variety of wonderful pastries, eggs, salads, yogurt, cereal, and teas. The decor was a little dated in the hotel. Our room had shag carpets, and the color theme throughout the hotel was more like the 70s to 80s eras. However, the hotel was well kept and very clean. Our room rate was 179 euro per night, which was reasonable for its superb location, wonderful amenities, and services. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel! My mother saw this place featured on a tv show, so she dragged us and a friend to Hanover to stay here. The hotel is lovely, on a quiet street next to the opera house (no outside noise). Our rooms were huge, which is surprising in a good size European city. The comfy beds featured those great fluffy, German down comforters in soft white linens that I love. Our only complaint about the bed was that the comforters were very small. I just don't even understand the concept of a 'single' size comforter that is only as wide as the bed. I mean, humans aren't flat, by the time you're under it, it's starting to pull away from the sides. By the time you roll onto your side, you're half naked. The breakfast was amazing. No European country does breakfast like the Germans and this was no exception. Lots of cold cuts, different freshly baked breads and pastries, a huge yogurt, cereal and fruit bar, and all kinds of other goodies. I wish I could just live in a German hotel. Overall a great place to stay if you're in Hanover, can't go wrong here. They have their own parking lot in a courtyard too, which is very convenient, and you're just a block or two from the shops and right by the opera house.

Yelp
Hotel is next to a huge construction site which is operated the whole night... no soundproof windows though...couldn't sleep a minute...no hint during reservation phase...that is not fair...
