Kastro Hotel

Lovely hotel at a fine location nearby the town centre. There are restaurants, grocery stores and shopping districts in walking distance. I arrived to the city via the bus from Chania and left the city via ferry via the harbour. although not exactly short distance but they are walkable. it is a relatively busy city and many popular restaurants are very occupied during the weekend.

Very modern rooms. Good size bathroom, large balcony, mini fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, kettle, tea, A/C working perfectly. B-fast was decent with a good selection for everyone!

Great 3 star hotel! Well appointed and honest offering. Good and versatile breakfast. Friendly, hospitable staff. Close to the water front and restaurants. Recommended.

The Kastro is a nice hotel in a very central location. With comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast, they really make you feel at home. Top marks too go to the most welcoming and helpful staff who go beyond the ordinary to ensure your comfort.

Very nice place and very modern not to mention the great breakfast. My wife and stayed there for 2 nights and we needed a place close to everything and this was. I want to thank Helena for all her help and answering our daily 100 questions about where to go and what to do.

Perfectly fine hotel in the city center, with a good breakfast service. Room was clean. I did find some mold in the shower. For those with a vehicle, the roads near hotel are very tight with very limited parking available. Advise using a paid parking lot nearby.

Our stay was amazing,very nice,modern and clean room, equipped,comfy bed, in the center close to everything,very polite staff, decent breakfast. There was a small malfunction with the balcony door,not that great soundproofing,no privacy-soundproofing between room and bathroom and no sitting in the balcony but no big deal, totally value for money, i would definitely book again. Highly recommend it.

The room, the staff, the location all are really nice. However, we stayed on the top floor and the whole afternoon and the next morning starting at 8 AM, there was loud drilling and hammering due to roof renovations. When we complained to the receptionist, she said “sorry” and mentioned that “they should have started at 9AM, not at 8”. Well, drilling and hammering at 9AM in the morning on a Saturday is still not the way to wake up someone paying full price for a room. There should have been a discount, or even better, we should have been informed in time about the renovation so we could choose a different hotel. If I wanted to wake up to the sound of renovation, I could have stayed home for free.
