Katara Beach, nestled in the heart of the city, offers a picturesque sandy stretch perfect for water sports, family picnics, and stunning sunset views.
"A Beach in the Heart of the City Katara Beach: It’s only one mile long, and you must pay an entry fee, but this beach is located right in the middle of the city. This beach in the Katara Cultural Village features one of the highest concentrations of water sports that Qatar has to offer. There is a strict dress code precluding women from showing elbows and knees, but Katara remains a very popular weekend spot for locals and expats. The space offers a variety of activities, including fishing trips, parasailing, water skiing, wake-boarding, kneeboarding, and windsurfing. You will also find a bouncy castle in the water, along with banana boats, kayaks, sailing dinghies, and canoes."
This beautiful, well-maintained beach boasts clean waters and a serene atmosphere. It becomes especially magical in the evening when the surrounding buildings light up, creating a picturesque view. It's an ideal spot for a family picnic by the sea.
There is an entry fee of 10 QAR per person to access the beach. Additional charges apply for amenities—5 QAR each for chairs and beach umbrellas. For families with young children, there's a small playground equipped with swings to keep the little ones entertained.

This is a beautiful and highly maintained beach with pretty clean water. The place is more magical in the evening when the nearby buildings are all lightened up.
A perfect place to have a family picnic on the beach.

You will have to pass extra 5QAR for chairs and shack umbrellas respectively.

You're not allowed to swim here but only a few hundred meters further to the right.

You can only enter from 3:30 in the afternoon. Closed before that. You are taken out of the sea at around 6:00 pm. There are only hard and uncomfortable wooden chairs without cushions and no loungers.
You are not allowed to choose your own seat.
If you come alone as a man, you can use the last entrance on the right-hand side. This is a very small area that is directly adjacent to the area where all the noisy jet skis with their exhaust fumes run all the time. There is only noise and bad air in this area. There are only two showers in this area and their drains are clogged. You are practically standing in the waste water from the shower.
Also, the staff is quite rude and inflexible. The sea is beautiful but unfortunately the rest is not. So I cannot recommend this beach.

It's a charming place, offering a beautiful view of both the dazzling sea and traditional architecture. The pristine shoreline is perfect for relaxing dips. Sand is clean, more granulated, great for kids too. The nearby eateries offer a diverse cuisine selection. A tranquil ambiance invigorates the soul.
