"A Beach in the Heart of the City Katara Beach: It’s only one mile long, and you must pay an entry fee, but this beach is located right in the middle of the city. This beach in the Katara Cultural Village features one of the highest concentrations of water sports that Qatar has to offer. There is a strict dress code precluding women from showing elbows and knees, but Katara remains a very popular weekend spot for locals and expats. The space offers a variety of activities, including fishing trips, parasailing, water skiing, wake-boarding, kneeboarding, and windsurfing. You will also find a bouncy castle in the water, along with banana boats, kayaks, sailing dinghies, and canoes."
Entrance is paid. The service at the door is very poor. It is forbidden to enter if you are not swimming. They said at the door that it is a private beach with a very small area. I think that for a tourist country, entrance should be free and there should be maximum better conditions for recreation. In a magnificent and beautiful country like Qatar, these small nuances should be taken into account.😉

Clean and well-maintained beach, perfect for families. The water is calm and safe for kids to play, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. Beautiful views, relaxing atmosphere, and good facilities make it a great spot to spend time with family.

Nice place for a walk late night. Good restaurants and food stalls. Must try Chapati and karak.

Katara Beach looks like it could be a nice beach with good views, but my experience was a bit disappointing. When I visited, the entire beach was blocked off and there was nobody on it. After reading other reviews, it also seems that you’re required to pay an entry fee, which was surprising since it appears to be a public beach.

This is a beautiful and highly maintained beach with pretty clean water. The place is more magical in the evening when the nearby buildings are all lightened up.
A perfect place to have a family picnic on the beach.
There is an entry fee of 10qar per person to pass the beach entrance.
You will have to pass extra 5QAR for chairs and shack umbrellas respectively.
It also has a little playground with some swings for your lil ones to enjoy and keep themselves busy.
